We are looking for an organised and proactive individual to fill a hybrid role as a Senior Coordinator.
You will help foster a positive community environment, being the liason between project managers and linguistic teams, distributing tasks and monitoring progress, simplify workflows and guide translators to execute projects efficiently. The role requires working with marginalised communities, and treating individuals with empathy, respect, and cultural sensitivity. Proficiency in English and fluency in at least one regional language is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Primary Point of Contact:
Act as the main liaison between the Project Manager and the linguistic team, ensuring smooth communication and collaboration. - Workflow Supervision:
Supervise and streamline workflows for Senior and Junior Linguistics Translators, ensuring timely and efficient task completion. - Task Management:
Distribute tasks and monitor progress on translation, transcription, and language content projects, ensuring that all deadlines are met. - Bottleneck Resolution:
Identify and address any workflow bottlenecks promptly, ensuring smooth project execution and timely deliveries. - Quality Assurance (Q/A):
Oversee Q/A processes, including performing random checks on deliverables to ensure adherence to quality standards. - Glossary and Style Guide Management:
Coordinate the creation and update of language glossaries, style guides, and project-specific guidelines to ensure consistency across all deliverables. - Feedback & Reviews:
Provide feedback and conduct performance reviews for linguists based on their deliverables, helping them improve and maintain high-quality output.
Required Qualifications
-Bachelor's degree in Linguistics, Translation, Project Management, or related field.
- 3-5 years of project coordination experience in translation, transcription, or language content projects.
- Proficiency in English and fluency in at least one Indian regional language.
- Experience working with marginalised communities and a deep understanding of their challenges and needs.
- Familiarity with different content types, such as marketing, technical, or legal translation.
