- Achieve volume and other KPIs related to the assigned scope.
- Drive the highest levels of quality, prominent level of customer-orientation creating value for customers and for Hapag-Lloyd.
- Delivers the sales visits as per assigned targets and records them as per process.
- Well established contacts with the assigned customer portfolio and builds trust through active follow up and delivery on commitments.
- Evaluate customer potential and conduct sales volume planning/outlook for own controlled customers and foreign controlled customers.
- Plans and executes the sales visit targets in line with company policy and ensures timely updates in the CRM system.
- Update customer opportunities in relevant pipelines.
- Follows and updates relevant sales campaigns in CRM system.
- Continuously reviews the customer portfolio performance(incl CA) and targets new customers/additional volumes in line with the company strategy.
- Ensures regular updates of all activities in CRM system.
- Review of customer performance with Sales Manager and define appropriate actions.
- Where appropriate for their market serve as specialists for a Segmented Vertical.
- Prepare, conduct, reports on customer visits and follows up.
- Conclude contracts for own controlled customers (proposal, negotiation, closing) in line with relevant policies and authorization matrixes.
- Updates overseas counterparts / stakeholders regularly through Push-Pull process.
- Records commitments (tender tracking and or other commitments).
- Delivers the assigned targets across all sales channels.
- Drive foreign controlled businesses and adhere to Push-Pull process.
- Participate selectively in TM discussions as and when required.
- Provides feedback as and when obtained voluntarily from customers and in line with the established process on dynamics in the market to relevant stakeholders.
- Guides Sales Coordination to ensure seamless communication and customer development.
- Guides customers to the existing channels for customer service-related topics.
- Responsible for the customer satisfaction under their umbrella and seeks solutions to customer escalations in line with established processes.
- Upholds the highest ethical standards in line with the Code of Ethics.
Qualifications
Apprenticeship in Shipping, logistics or relate field.
Bachelor’s degree
5 years of experience in the maritime industry or equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience in Sales and/or Customer Service functions
Advanced negotiation, decision-making and presentation skills, self-confident and friendly when dealing with others
Demonstrated strong listening, verbal and written communication skills
Self-starter, self-motivated, resourceful and responsive
Demonstrated ability to be multi-task, set priorities, organize work and implement action items
Analytical, problem solving and strategic selling skill.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and good interpersonal skills
Comprehensive knowledge of user application systems (MS Office, CRM)
Fluent in English
