This position is responsible for overseeing the comprehensive management of third-party risks, ensuring that all vendor relationships and associated activities comply with organizational and regulatory requirements. The role involves coordinating the appropriate and timely review and execution of contracts, working closely with vendors and internal risk Subject Matter Experts. The position also requires the identification and mitigation of risks in complex vendor agreements, as well as the design and implementation of systems for monitoring and reporting compliance and performance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborates effectively with business owners, legal, procurement, and other key stakeholders to ensure that business, technical, and regulatory requirements are thoroughly incorporated into contracts and third-party agreements.
- Builds and maintains strong relationships with Information Security, IT, compliance, and other critical business units to identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with third-party vendors, ensuring timely and compliant d execution of a contract.
- Proactively conducts risk assessments and ongoing monitoring of third-party vendors, identifying potential issues and providing recommendations for resolution or alternative strategies..
- Prepares, reviews, and manages contract provisions, Non-Disclosure Agreements, and Letters of Termination, while ensuring adherence to vendor management policies and responding to audit and management inquiries .
- Regularly reviews and updates vendor management procedures to align with evolving regulations and organizational policies, ensuring continuous compliance and improvement in third-party risk management practices..
- Performs other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE:
- Bachelor's degree required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5+ years of related experience required. Experience in vendor relationship management, contract review and negotiation or legal support preferred.
ESSENTIAL MENTAL & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to work under stress and meet deadlines
- Ability to operate related equipment to perform the essential job functions
- Ability to read and interpret a document if required to perform the essential job functions
- Ability to travel if required to perform the essential job functions
- Ability to lift/move/carry approximately 10 pounds if required to perform the essential job functions. If the employee is unable to lift/move/carry this weight and can be accommodated without causing the department/division an “undue hardship” then the employee must be accommodated; hence omitting lifting/moving/carrying as a physical requirement.
