The Senior Continuous Improvement Manager is responsible for developing, improving, and supporting manufacturing processes to deliver safe, efficient, and consistent polymer production at the Redcar site. 

Using data-driven analysis and Lean Manufacturing principles, the Senior Continuous Improvement Manager collaborates with engineering, production, and quality teams to improve process performance, reduce downtime, and maintain product quality. The role also supports the implementation of new systems and ensures effective process documentation and tools are in place for shop-floor operations. 

Your core responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and optimisation of manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, reduce downtime, and enhance product quality.  
  • Use data and analytics to monitor process and equipment performance, identify bottlenecks and areas of improvement, driving fact-based decision making.  
  • Apply Lean Manufacturing principles (5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping) to deliver continuous improvement initiatives.  
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to design and implement scalable process solutions.  
  • Create and maintain clear process documentation, P&ID’s, standard operating procedures, and tooling support for the shop floor.  
  • Ensure manufacturing processes comply with safety, quality, environmental and regulatory standards 

Our essential requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil / Mechanical / Electrical / Chemical / or  other relevant discipline). 
  • Proven substantial experience in a Polymer / chemical processing industry 
  • Management of process and lean improvement projects 
  • 6 sigma black belt / or similar statical analysis qualification 
  • High degree of numeracy and ability to understand complex numerical data 
  • Be able to interrogate and manipulate process performance data to highlight trends and shifts in performance.

Skills Required
