Operate and maintain a recycling centre by assisting visitors with waste sorting, keeping the site safe and organized, preventing non-compliant waste, promoting recycling, and working as part of a team in an outdoor environment to support efficient daily operations.

Generate and manage a pipeline of new business within an assigned territory to meet and exceed monthly targets. Conduct door-to-door prospecting, pricing negotiations, and territory management. Sell new business within a defined territory by prospecting, generating and managing a pipeline to meet KPIs. Report activity, present performance, negotiate pricing, and liaise with regional managers to drive profitable revenue growth for SME customers.

Lead and supervise maintenance engineers and technicians to prioritise workloads, minimise downtime, and ensure safety compliance. Manage CMMS, produce safety documentation, coordinate contractors and shutdowns, run permit-to-work and RCA processes, coach and develop team skills, report shift performance, and oversee budget/P&L responsibilities to drive continuous improvement.

Manage monthly management accounts, CAPEX reporting, invoicing, balance sheet reconciliations and support year-end audit. Sell new business to small and medium customers by building and managing a prospect pipeline, meeting monthly targets, negotiating pricing, reporting activity, and liaising with regional managers to drive profitable revenue growth.

Serve as the primary customer-facing representative at a recycling centre: assist visitors, operate booking systems, ensure correct waste segregation, monitor non-compliant or commercial waste, maintain site cleanliness and safety, and promote recycling. Work both independently and with a team in an outdoor, shift-based environment.

Lead and develop an onsite multidisciplinary engineering team to maximise plant uptime and safety. Drive preventative maintenance (PM >95%), reduce reactive breakdowns, manage contractors, deliver root-cause solutions, plan shutdowns, control engineering OPEX/CAPEX, and embed best practices to improve site performance.

Provide administrative and transactional support for supply chain operations: process goods receipts, inventory movements, purchase orders and logistics in the ERP, reconcile stock, liaise with suppliers and transport providers, resolve transactional queries, maintain documentation, and support inbound/outbound logistics to ensure accurate records and smooth material flow.
