The Senior Content Governance Specialist is a senior individual contributor responsible for defining, governing, and optimizing content across Arrow's digital ecosystem. This role serves as the primary content strategy authority within the Digital Experience organization, ensuring content is customer-centric, scalable, governed, discoverable, and aligned with business objectives. Approximately 80% of the role is focused on content strategy, governance, planning, and cross-functional leadership, while 20% is dedicated to hands-on content authoring, publishing, and remediation activities within Adobe Experience Manager (AEM).

What You'll Be Doing

Content Strategy & Planning (40%)

  • Define and evolve enterprise content strategy aligned to customer journeys, digital experience objectives, SEO goals, and business priorities.
  • Partner with Product, UX, Marketing, SEO, and business stakeholders to define content requirements for new experiences, products, campaigns, and customer journeys.
  • Develop and maintain content models, content types, and structured content approaches that support omnichannel delivery.
  • Conduct content audits, gap analyses, inventory assessments, and rationalization initiatives to improve content effectiveness and consistency.
  • Identify opportunities to improve content performance, reuse, personalization, and customer engagement.
  • Establish standards for localization, translation, and global content scalability.
  • Review content performance metrics and use insights to inform content strategy recommendations.

Content Governance & Standards (40%)

  • Establish and maintain content governance frameworks, policies, standards, and editorial guidelines.
  • Own taxonomy, metadata, tagging, content classification, and information architecture standards.
  • Define governance processes that support quality, compliance, discoverability, and operational efficiency.
  • Lead governance reviews for major digital initiatives and transformation programs.
  • Monitor content quality and governance KPIs to ensure adherence to established standards.
  • Drive content lifecycle management processes, including creation, maintenance, review, archival, and retirement.
  • Coach content authors, editors, marketers, and stakeholders on governance practices and content standards.
  • Develop governance documentation, scorecards, and compliance reporting processes.
  • Ensure alignment with accessibility, brand, legal, and regional requirements.

Content Authoring & AEM Operations (20%)

  • Create, edit, publish, and maintain digital content within Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), either to coordinate or to hands-on execute publishing activities.
  • Perform content remediation activities to improve compliance with governance, SEO, accessibility, taxonomy, and metadata standards.
  • Support page optimization efforts, content refresh initiatives, and migration projects.
  • Build and update web pages using approved templates, components, and design standards.
  • Execute publishing and content updates required to support business priorities and governance initiatives.
  • Collaborate with content contributors and stakeholders to resolve content quality issues and improve publishing readiness.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for content authoring best practices and AEM workflows.

AI Enablement & Content Innovation

  • Leverage Microsoft Copilot and approved AI/LLM technologies to improve content planning, governance, metadata generation, content optimization, and operational efficiency.
  • Develop prompt libraries, content templates, and AI-enabled workflows that improve speed while maintaining quality standards.
  • Establish governance practices for AI-assisted content creation, including review, validation, and responsible AI usage.
  • Support optimization strategies for semantic search, AI-driven discovery, and future digital experiences.
  • Evaluate emerging content technologies and recommend opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement.

What We’re Looking For

  • 7+ years of experience in content strategy, content governance, digital content management, or related disciplines.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and implementing content governance frameworks and content standards.
  • Strong understanding of content lifecycle management, taxonomy, metadata, information architecture, and structured content.
  • Hands-on experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) or comparable enterprise CMS platforms.
  • Experience working in cross-functional environments with Product, UX, SEO, Marketing, and Technology teams.
  • Strong analytical, communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.

Work Arrangement: Hybrid: This position is part of a hybrid work arrangement requiring employee to be in office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday with the option to work remotely on Monday and Friday.
