Job Purpose:  

This position drives efforts to formulate, implement, enable, and manage strategy initiatives for experience and business units at TruStage. It also leads cross-functional teams to understand forces impacting the business, helps determine long-term business objectives and translate these objectives and other inputs into business strategies. 

Working with stakeholders across the organization you will identify points of view that serve to continuously improve business results by preparing leaders for future opportunities, challenges, and likely scenario impacts. You must be comfortable working with a stakeholder group that may include, but is not limited to, directors, vice-presidents, business unit leaders and others.  

This role plays a key role in leading our strategy management system. This includes responsibility for helping facilitate strategy refreshes, business planning, corporate performance office, quarterly strategy reviews and project/initiative execution. 

 

Job Responsibilities:  

  • Lead strategy development and management without direct authority including: 

  • In close partnership with business area leaders, leads strategic planning and assists in business planning following approved methodologies.  

  • Works with the strategy team and business unit/area leaders to facilitate strategy refreshes, helping ensure the required output of business area-specific strategic plans are produced. 

  • Scans the external environment for signals to be translated into foresight that will ultimately be used as strategic insight. 

  • Leads components of quarterly strategy reviews and ensures the required output of progress on OKR’s, and strategy scorecard, or appropriate monitoring tool. 

  • Lead or participates in opportunities to determine strategic fit and organizational readiness including but not limited to 

  • Search and selection of external business arrangements such as purchases, divestitures, and other mutual arrangements 

  • Market sizing/opportunity analysis work 

  • Drive key strategic projects with cross-functional teams to recommend solutions to solve complex business problems or to develop products/services. 

  • Promotes a strong connection between strategy, planning and execution teams.

Job Requirements: 

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Finance, Insurance or related field or an equivalent trade-off of related professional work experience. MBA preferred 

  • 8+ years of experience in Strategy Management, Business Process Management, Management Consulting, Business Continuous Improvement, Program/Initiative Management, Agile execution, or related fields. 

  • Ability to interact and influence leaders at all levels of the organization through strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing. 

  • Demonstrated ability to identify, understand and assess business needs/opportunities and to translate strategic direction into concrete plans. 

  • Proven success leading, collaborating, and influencing multiple functions, teams, and groups to achieve desired financial goals. 

  • Strong project management experience with a proven track record to deliver expected business results. 

  • Proven experience in strategy formation management processes, market assessments, OKRs, and balanced scorecards. 

  • Ability to handle complexity and ambiguity. 

  • Travel as needed up to 10% of the time.

Compensation may vary based on the job level, your geographic work location, position incentive plan and exemption status.

Base Salary Range:

$114,600.00 - $171,800.00
