Introduction to Role

Are you ready to turn advanced SAP EWM expertise into faster, safer flows of medicines to patients? Can you translate complex warehouse operations into resilient, scalable EWM designs that deliver measurable business outcomes?

This role places you at the heart of our digital transformation, where you will lead the end-to-end lifecycle of EWM solutions on S/4HANA—from solutioning through deployment—across inbound, outbound, internal movements, production staging and inventory. You will serve as the functional EWM authority for your team, bridging global implementation programs with local operational teams to ensure new capabilities land cleanly, are standardized, and are sustained at scale.

You will work shoulder-to-shoulder with cross-functional teams, shaping designs that integrate seamlessly with manufacturing and distribution so our medicines reach patients without delay. Beyond your own technical delivery, you will mentor and uplift team members who are building EWM capability—guiding them through configuration, process design, and troubleshooting as a trusted technical leader. You thrive as a collaborative partner across teams and geographies, to support a global operation.

Accountabilities
  • Solution Leadership: Lead discovery and process design workshops, define fit-for-purpose EWM architectures, and translate business needs into robust solution blueprints focused on cycle time, accuracy and compliance.
  • Technical Leadership & Mentoring: Serve as the go-to EWM subject matter expert for the team. Mentor and upskill 2-3 team members who are developing EWM capability, providing hands-on guidance on configuration, process design, and troubleshooting. Lead without formal authority—set technical direction, establish standards, and build collective expertise.
  • Implementation Excellence: Configure and validate S/4HANA EWM capabilities including POSC, LOSC, WOCR, Wave management and PPF; deliver from design through cutover to deployment, scaling from initial sites to global reach.
  • Global-to-Local Bridge: Act as the primary liaison between global S/4HANA transformation programs and local operational teams. Ensure that new EWM capabilities delivered by global programs are received, understood, standardized, documented, and embedded into sustained local operations.
  • Integration & Orchestration: Engineer end-to-end material flows through integration with MM, SD, PP, QM and TM, and align with non-SAP interfaces where needed to ensure traceability from shop floor to distribution.
  • Data Migration & Quality: Own data migration using SAP S/4HANA Migration Cockpit; define and govern master data including packaging specifications, warehouse organizational structures and handling units to ensure readiness and integrity.
  • Stakeholder Partnership: Engage business and technology stakeholders, clarify options and trade-offs, and drive decisions that balance speed, risk and value; present designs and progress with clear, concise communication across both business and technical audiences.
  • Operational Readiness & Support: Plan cutover and hypercare, establish monitoring and PPF governance, and provide knowledge transfer to sustain stable operations across multiple geographies and time zones.
  • Continuous Improvement: Use metrics and user feedback to streamline processes, automate tasks and uplift inventory accuracy and throughput; champion new S/4 capabilities and best practices.
