We are seeking a versatile, solutions-oriented Deployment & Solution Engineer to support the end-to-end execution of valuation engagements by designing, configuring, and deploying practical technology solutions. This role bridges valuation teams, modeling engineers, and data engineering by translating engagement needs into workable solutions using available tools and identifying gaps that require new capabilities.
The position is hands-on and engagement-facing and will work closely with/under our Captive Consulting team, who will guide the scoping of each engagement’s technology/process evolution. The ideal candidate understands valuation workflows and has working knowledge across Excel, data, Power BI, and Microsoft 365 tools—enough to implement out-of-the-box solutions, troubleshoot issues, and guide teams toward scalable approaches.
Day-to-day responsibilities:
Understand end-to-end valuation engagement workflows and required deliverables
Design and configure practical, out-of-the-box solutions to support engagements
Support Power BI reporting and visualization for engagement outputs
Work with structured datasets using SQL and database concepts
Assist with ETL processes to prepare and move data across systems
Partner with modeling and data engineering teams to define enhancements
Troubleshoot issues across tools including Excel, SharePoint, and BI environments
Continuously improve deployment approaches and best practices
Support light automation using Power Automate or similar tools
Essential traits:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Information Systems, or related field
2–5 years of relevant experience in valuation, consulting, or solutions deployment
Working knowledge of valuation processes and engagement workflows
Strong Excel skills with experience supporting financial models
Familiarity with structured data, databases, and SQL
Ability to understand and translate between business and technical requirements
Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Experience in fast-paced, project-driven environments
Skills:
Experience supporting valuation or transaction advisory engagements
Exposure to ETL processes or data pipeline concepts
Familiarity with Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps)
Experience working with modeling or data engineering teams
Understanding of scalable solution design and standardization
Experience with SharePoint and Microsoft 365 tools
Exposure to Power BI or similar reporting tools
