We are seeking a technically strong, detail-oriented Valuation Modeling Engineer to design, build, and support bespoke valuation models that integrate into a scalable, standardized modeling environment. This role sits at the intersection of valuation expertise and advanced financial modeling, with a focus on ensuring consistency, quality, and interoperability across engagements.
The position is hands-on and delivery-oriented, requiring ownership of model development from initial requirements through final outputs. The ideal candidate combines strong valuation knowledge with disciplined modeling practices and the ability to integrate custom models into a unified data and modeling framework.
Day-to-day responsibilities:
Design and build complex, engagement-specific valuation models across asset classes and methodologies
Translate valuation requirements into structured, auditable, and flexible financial models
Ensure models meet analytical depth, accuracy, and client deliverable standards
Apply best practices in financial modeling including transparency, modularity, and auditability
Apply appropriate valuation methodologies such as DCF, market comparables, and precedent transactions
Support complex valuation scenarios requiring judgment and customization
Continuously enhance modeling frameworks
Support integration of models into automated workflows or data pipelines
Leverage Python, VBA, or similar tools to enhance functionality
Essential traits:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, or related field
2–5 years of relevant experience in valuation or financial modeling
Strong experience building complex financial models in Excel
Solid understanding of valuation methodologies
Ability to structure scalable, auditable models
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
Strong communication and documentation skills
Skills:
Experience in valuation, transaction advisory, or consulting
Exposure to integrating models with data systems
Experience with Python, VBA, or similar tools
Familiarity with SQL or data structures
Experience building reusable templates
Understanding of model governance practices
