About the Role
We're looking for an experienced Databricks Data Consultant to join us on an initial 3-month contract engagement. You'll work across customer data and analytics projects, designing and delivering scalable data solutions using Databricks and modern cloud technologies.
This is a hands-on consulting role suited to someone with strong Databricks expertise who can quickly understand customer requirements, work effectively with technical and business stakeholders, and contribute to the design and delivery of data solutions.
What You'll Do
- Design and deliver scalable data solutions using Databricks.
- Build and operationalise reliable data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes.
- Translate customer requirements into practical technical solutions.
- Integrate and transform structured and unstructured data from multiple sources.
- Develop data platforms, data lakes, and distributed data solutions.
- Build and optimise solutions using Apache Spark.
- Work across cloud data environments including Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- Improve data reliability, performance, efficiency, and quality.
What You'll Bring
- 3+ years' hands-on Databricks experience.
- Strong knowledge of Databricks architecture, features, and implementation.
- Experience with DBT and/or Coalesce.
- Strong programming skills in Python, Scala, Java, C# or similar.
- Experience with Apache Spark and relational databases such as SQL Server or Redshift.
- Experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- Experience developing and deploying production data pipelines.
- Strong consulting, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with CI/CD, streaming, data modelling, Machine Learning or DataOps will be highly regarded.
