Job Description

Turner & Townsend are looking for an experienced Senior (Financial) Consultant to join our team and support large infrastructure and capital projects in the Netherlands and Belgium.

In this role, you will advise clients on complex procurement processes, contract management, and financial structures for large-scale infrastructure, energy, and mobility projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop procurement and contract strategies for large infrastructure programmes
  • Draft and review contracts, including innovative contract types such as NEC4 and alliance/construction team agreements
  • Lead financial analyses of capital projects, including:
    • Payment mechanisms
    • Performance assessments
    • Business cases
    • Financial feasibility studies
  • Evaluate and substantiate contractor payments, contract variations, and performance-based KPIs
  • Provide portfolio insights and strategic investment optimization for clients with multi-billion-euro project portfolios
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams and act as the primary client contact
  • Deliver high-quality reporting, risk assessments, and system-based contract management throughout project delivery

Qualifications

  • 5 - 7 years of experience in capital projects, infrastructure, or investment advisory
  • Strong background in:
    • Financial modeling
    • Contract drafting
    • Procurement strategies
    • Performance management
  • Experience with large, complex infrastructure projects (e.g. highways, tunnels, airports, energy networks)
  • Expertise in payment mechanisms, cost-benefit analysis, and project valuation
  • Relevant academic background (e.g. MSc in Civil Engineering, Finance, Economics)
  • Professional financial certifications (e.g. CMA) are a plus
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and experience leading project teams
  • Fluency in Dutch and English is required
