Role Overview
This role leverages backend reporting datasets and advanced analytical tools not available through standard application interfaces to uncover insights, troubleshoot complex issues, and guide product strategy. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated self-starter who proactively identifies problems, independently pursues solutions, and continuously seeks out new tools and techniques to improve outcomes and efficiency.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Data Analysis and Product Insights
- Independently access and analyze backend OCDC datasets to generate actionable insights
- Develop complex queries and analytical models to evaluate product performance, vendor outcomes, and system behavior
- Proactively identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities without requiring explicit direction
- Deliver clear, concise reporting to enable Product Management decision-making
- Requirements Development and Product Support
- Partner with Product Managers to shape and refine business and technical requirements
- Translate analytical findings into well-defined product enhancements and backlog items
- Provide data-driven recommendations to influence prioritization and product direction
- Continuously identify gaps in product capabilities and propose innovative solutions
- Strategic Troubleshooting and Root Cause Analysis
- Lead independent investigations into system issues, data discrepancies, and operational challenges
- Apply structured problem-solving techniques to identify root causes and recommend solutions
- Go beyond surface-level analysis by connecting data patterns across systems and workflows
- Collaborate with Engineering and Operations to validate findings and implement corrective actions
- Vendor Performance and Operational Optimization
- Analyze vendor performance across cost, quality, and turnaround metrics
- Identify optimization opportunities and propose actionable improvements
- Develop creative approaches to evaluating vendor effectiveness using available data sources
- Support strategic decision-making related to vendor selection and performance management
- Management Reporting and Insight Communication
- Design and deliver executive-ready reporting, dashboards, and analytical summaries
- Translate complex datasets into clear, business-relevant insights
- Anticipate stakeholder needs and proactively generate reporting to support them
- Continuously improve reporting approaches through new tools, automation, and visualization techniques

Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in Business Systems Analysis, Data Analysis, or related field
- Experience with data tools such as Databricks or similar platforms
- Proven ability to work independently and manage ambiguous problem spaces
- Proven solid database management and advanced SQL capabilities
- Proven solid product mindset with ability to understand internal and external client needs
- Proven excellent analytical, communication, and storytelling skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with healthcare data platforms, payer systems, or clinical workflows
- Experience building dashboards or visualizations (Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
- Familiarity with large-scale data processing and distributed systems
- Exposure to AI-assisted analytics or automation tools

Reporting Structure
- This role reports into the OCDC Product Management organization and supports Product Directors, Strategic Product Managers, and Technical Product Managers.
