Your role at Exness:
You will be leading a group of the regional compliance officers across the globe and supporting the compliance efforts of the company, reporting directly to the deputy head of compliance. You will collaborate with professionals with diverse skill sets to deliver impactful results on various projects and products.
The location of this position will be on-site at our offices in Cyprus.
You will be:
- Organize, plan, and carry out ongoing compliance audits, and monitoring.
- Identify key compliance risks and weaknesses and suggest related remediation activities.
- Monitor business activities, functions, and practices to ensure compliance with internal policies and applicable regulations.
- Recommend improvements to strengthen the overall control environment, based on findings from audits and risk assessments.
- Assist in establishing and developing appropriate and effective internal compliance policies and procedures on any new regulatory requirements and business activities or products.
- Perform special reviews and investigations on internal audit and internal control compliance issues as required.
- Draft reports on audit findings for the attention of management and discuss and agree to find and recommend remedial actions.
- Supervise junior staff when acting as lead auditor on a job, including assigning and reviewing their work and providing mentoring and training as needed.
- Coordinate with relevant departments on the remediation actions.
- Draft and revise compliance policies and procedures and prepare reports.
- Review regulatory requirements, assess impact on operations, and update monitoring programs.
- Implement and develop various aspects of the global compliance monitoring program.
- Ensure on-going compliance and collaborate with relevant parties to meet reporting obligations.
- Maintain up-to-date compliance records.
- Address employees’ questions and advise on compliance matters.
- Perform any other assigned compliance-related task.
What makes you a great fit:
- 5 or more years of experience within the financial services industry working in a similar role
- University degree
- Excellent verbal and nonverbal communication, business acumen, organizational, presentation, and problem-solving skills
- Verbal and written fluency in English, with any additional language considered a plus
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Ability to work independently with extensive latitude for initiative and independent judgment
- Relevant professional certifications such as CySEC certifications, CISI, or related will be considered an advantage
