Job DescriptionConduct and/or assist in conducting reviews of assigned gaming revenue audits for compliance with guidelines established by the Nevada Gaming Control Board. Ensure department standard operating procedures (SOP) are following gaming regulations through established procedures.
- Perform sample testing of GRA teams audit procedures. Follow SOPS to review the documentation and support to ensure compliance with controls, report back to department manager with testing results
- Maintain alignment of standard operating procedures with the GCB Minimum Internal Controls and Boyd Gaming Internal Controls
- Administer annual SOP review and recertification process
- Prepare periodic SOP updates related to GCB MICS updates or GCB / IA audit findings
- Communicate problems or discrepancies to management in a timely and efficient manner
- Promote an effective relationship between the department, the operating property, and other departments and ensure effective operational processes.
- Perform all functions with the highest level of integrity.
- Observe and follow all safety procedures.
- Performs all other job-related duties as requested.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management or equivalent.
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations
- Must possess an in-depth knowledge of internal and accounting control procedures of gaming operations.
- Excellent written, verbal and public presentation communication skills and demonstrate ability to resolve all situations in a professional manner.
- Intermediate level skills with Microsoft Excel/Word/Outlook, basic office equipment, and 10-key.
- Clear understanding of change management abilities. This should include participating in the development of solutions which require comprehensive shifts in operational practices.
- Excellent customer service skills. Have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.
- Strong team player that has a direct approach and is solution oriented.
