Job Description:
Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced Senior Compliance Analyst who can contribute independently as well as work effectively with a team. The Senior Compliance Analyst will work closely with the business units to ensure compliance with applicable federal and state insurance laws and regulations. Responsible for helping the business achieve its goals by identifying regulatory issues, determining where business might be at risk and providing appropriate information to regulatory entities to mitigate risk.
Essential Functions include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Research, prepare & submit rate, rule and form filings via SERFF.
- Gather, aggregate, and submit all regulatory mandated reports including catastrophe reports.
- Receive, research, gather data, and timely submit all regulatory mandated data calls.
- Monitor and balance daily, monthly, and quarterly premium and loss data via database queries and system reports, providing results to accounting and IT.
- Work with third party vendors and internal system data to assist in the oversight of statistical reporting files for ISO, ISS, AAIS, or any other vendor as required and below tolerance thresholds.
- Annually compile system 1099 data and provide data to accounting in usable format
- Approve payment of bills from bureaus and assessment organizations, allocating expenses to appropriate business units.
- Maintain membership and affiliations with regulatory bureaus.
- Read, analyze and communicate changes in laws and regulations, state insurance department bulletins, etc. Evaluate the effect of these changes on current products and our business as a whole and create recommendations to comply. This includes creating regulatory notices or bulletins for business units.
- Maintain and update Agent for Service of Process for various corporate entities.
- Maintain, Prepare, and submit carrier licensing filing.
- Coordinate and complete filing of corporate officer changes where needed.
- Respond to compliance research request from across the company to provide regulatory guidance on various initiatives.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university; or 5-7 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge/Skills
- Advanced knowledge of insurance rating techniques and principles.
- Advanced knowledge of SERFF
- Ability to read, comprehend and act upon insurance policy language and insurance regulations.
- Detail oriented with the ability to work in a team environment and be flexible to daily changing needs and job duties.
- Ability to analyze and problem solve, working closely with others to coordinate and complete projects.
- Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
Computer Skills
Advanced Microsoft Office skills are required with emphasis on Word and Excel.
