What you’ll do:

  • Lead global compensation benchmarking, market pricing, and the development of compensation structures, including base salary ranges, target bonuses, and long-term incentive guidelines.
  • Own and enhance SoFi’s global job architecture, including job families, career levels, job profiles, and related compensation frameworks.
  • Lead job architecture maintenance and redesign projects to support organizational design, workforce planning, career development, and talent acquisition.
  • Develop recommendations for annual cash and equity program budgets based on market data, business priorities, affordability, and compensation strategy.
  • Develop and maintain equity guidelines and model the share usage, dilution, and stock-based compensation impact of new hire, promotion, refresh, and other equity programs.
  • Partner with Finance on monthly stock-based compensation forecasting, variance analysis, and long-term planning.
  • Apply country-specific market practices and regulatory considerations to ensure compensation structures are locally competitive while remaining consistent with SoFi’s global compensation philosophy.
  • Monitor compensation trends, market practices, and emerging developments, providing recommendations and insights to the Compensation team and business leaders.
  • Partner with People, Finance, Legal, Compliance, and Talent Acquisition to ensure compensation programs support business needs and are administered consistently.

Executive Compensation Support

  • Support the preparation of quarterly Compensation Committee and Board materials, including executive compensation analyses, scenario modeling, and executive-ready insights.
  • Assist with the preparation of proxy disclosures, including the Compensation Discussion and Analysis and SEC-required compensation tables, in partnership with Legal, Accounting, Finance, and Investor Relations.
  • Support executive compensation operations, including incentive program tracking, Compensation Committee approval materials, stock ownership policy compliance, and executive offer letter development.
  • Conduct executive compensation benchmarking and market analysis using relevant survey and peer company data.

What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, human resources, business, or a related field. An advanced degree or relevant professional certification is a plus.
  • At least six years of broad-based compensation experience, including at least three years of direct experience developing job architecture, compensation structures, and market benchmarking frameworks. Executive compensation experience is preferred but not required.
  • Experience owning or significantly contributing to global job architecture programs, including job families, career levels, salary structures, and incentive guidelines.
  • Experience developing compensation programs for a multinational organization, including familiarity with country-specific compensation practices and structures.
  • Direct experience supporting compensation programs in Latin America, including markets such as Argentina, Brazil, Ecuador, and Uruguay.
  • Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills, including experience building complex compensation, equity, and financial models.
  • Experience modeling stock-based compensation expense, equity usage, dilution, or related financial impacts in partnership with Finance or Accounting.
  • Experience using major compensation surveys and data providers, such as Radford, Willis Towers Watson, Mercer, or McLagan.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and translate findings into practical recommendations.

What We Do

SoFi wasn’t built to be a bank. Or a technology company. We were built for one mission: help people achieve financial independence so they can realize their ambitions. Redefining an entire industry isn’t easy work—and it’s not for the faint of heart. It takes a certain kind of team. People with diverse perspectives and expertise, united by a common sense of purpose. People willing to challenge assumptions but always do the right thing. People proving that innovation and responsibility don’t have to compete, but can come together to create something truly unconventional in the world. For the last eight years, we’ve been charting this new path forward. We call it The SoFi Way. At SoFi, we don’t just talk about culture: we live it. The SoFi Way is how we show up every day, how we make decisions, and how we build for our members, clients, and each other.

Why Work With Us

Together with our members, we’re changing the way people think about and interact with personal finance. We’re a next-generation Fintech company using innovative, mobile-first technology to help our members reach their goals. The industry is going through an unprecedented transformation, and we’re at the forefront.
