Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Commercial Loan Closing Representative to support the successful execution of commercial lending transactions within Global Operations. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring complex loan closings are completed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with established risk and control standards. Working closely with business partners, clients, and internal stakeholders, you will help deliver a seamless lending experience while contributing to operational excellence, process efficiency, and strong customer outcomes. Based on the Chief Operating Office mission, the role supports effective and efficient delivery of services while helping strengthen Wells Fargo's operational and control infrastructure.
In this role, you will:
- Support performance of less experienced staff and overall effectiveness of team
- Provide feedback and present ideas for improving or implementing processes and tools within Commercial Loan Closing
- Evaluate and upload data into the systems of record to ensure compliance with all bank policies, procedures and regulatory requirements
- Perform complex legal activities for loan documentation that may also include documentation purchased from a third-party source, internal staff and the Corporate Legal Group
- Provide subject matter expertise and interpretation of procedures to less experienced individuals
- Work collaboratively with Credit, Sales and Legal regarding proper procedures and documentation requirements necessary to ensure accuracy with negotiated terms and ensure alignment with appropriate compliance standards
- Interact with immediate team and Commercial Loan Closing
- Interact with internal customers
Required Qualifications:
- 2+ years of Commercial Loan Closing support experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- Experience in handling Loan Syndication processes, including deal setup, funding, borrower servicing, and lender communications.
- Strong working knowledge of Loans IQ, with experience in loan booking, maintenance, payment processing, and transaction management.
- Hands-on experience in Commercial Loan Closing, ensuring accurate documentation review, funding coordination, and adherence to operational procedures.
- Exposure to the end-to-end commercial lending lifecycle, including loan onboarding, servicing, amendments, and payoff activities.
- Proven ability to support syndicated and commercial loan operations while maintaining accuracy, compliance, and service level expectations.
Desired Qualifications:
- Prior exposure to syndicated or commercial loan operations within banking or financial services organizations.
- Working knowledge of loan servicing applications (Loans IQ preferred) and related operational workflows.
- Understanding of commercial lending products, loan lifecycle management, and industry regulations.
- Experience collaborating with internal and external stakeholders such as borrowers, lenders, legal teams, and relationship managers.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel, reporting, reconciliation, and operational risk management processes.
