A Commercial Engineer positively affects the success of the Rockwell Automation business by being involved in many diverse challenging projects that help allow the larger Rockwell Automation sales channel you will work with Marketing, Sales, and Engineering to support customer engagements and help evolve the Connected Enterprise Story with a specific focus on simulation and emulation solutions built around Rockwell Automation's integrated architecture controls and smart devices technologies.

We are looking for the ability work with geographically and organizationally diverse teams. Also, application development skills, commercial skills are also necessary. You have some travel globally, up to 15% (scheduled when possible), to support overall our goals such as tradeshows, training and customer visits.

Senior Commercial Engineer

You will report to: Commercial Engineering Manager

Located in: Mexico City or Monterrey

Responsibilities:

• Be a technical expert to lead pre-sale customer engagements
• Work directly with customers to aid in high visibility presales opportunities
• Prepare technical documentation, presentations, webinars, videos and tools to improve Salesforce and domain expert effectiveness and support industry trade shows
• Evaluate products and provide feedback on features and performance
• Develop enhancements and gap solutions to meet specific opportunity demands
• Guide and develop technical materials to support technical competency programs
• Conduct customer demonstrations remotely and in Customer Solutions & Experience Centers
• Keep current with latest, relevant industry trends in simulation and design technologies
• Global responsibility could include early morning or late evening phone calls/meetings

Requisitions:

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, Electrical, or Computer Engineering, or other related discipline
• We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas for this job opening
• Travel 15-20% of time
• (10) years of experience (or equivalent) with Integrated Architecture family of products, such as Studio 5000 Logix Designer, ControlLogix/CompactLogix, industrial motor control components, sensors, IO-Link technology
• Manufacturing Industry experience
• Communicate the impact of the lowest component on the machine to the machine/system productivity
• General application programming experience object-oriented programming
• Working knowledge and proficiency in:
• Studio 5000
• ControlLogix controllers
• Motor control components such as overloads, soft starters, contactors, motion, low voltage drives, motors
• Sensors and switches
• IO Link technology
• For this position we require a technical profile with sales skills.
