The Senior Commerce Specialist is the operational engine of Incubeta’s digital commerce and marketplace offering. Working directly with the Commerce Lead and the wider Commerce team, you will be the hands-on expert responsible for the day-to-day running, optimisation and scaling of client accounts across the European Amazon marketplaces. Your remit spans the two halves of marketplace performance: keeping the operational foundation healthy – catalogue, content, availability and account hygiene – and driving paid performance through Sponsored Ads and retail media execution.
Day-to-day work runs through Vendor Central, Seller Central, the Amazon Ads console and Pacvue for campaign automation. You will translate account strategy into concrete weekly actions: resolving listing issues before they cost revenue, keeping campaigns inside efficiency targets, and surfacing the changes that matter to clients before they ask. While the role carries no line-management responsibility, you will act as a senior reference point for junior specialists and the first escalation for complex operational issues.
Key ResponsibilitiesMarketplace Operations & Account Support
- Catalogue and listing health: Monitor and resolve suppressed, inactive and stranded listings across EU Amazon accounts; own the fix-loop from diagnosis (flat files, feed errors, compliance flags) through to re-instatement, prioritised by revenue at risk.
- Account health: Track account health metrics, policy notifications and listing quality issues weekly; open and manage Amazon support cases through to resolution rather than first response.
- Buy Box and availability: Investigate Buy Box losses and out-of-stock patterns, identify root cause (pricing, fulfilment, third-party sellers) and recommend corrective action.
- Vendor operations: Support PO management, shortage claims and chargeback disputes on Vendor Central accounts; maintain clean catalogue data and cost/price integrity.
PPC & Retail Media Execution
- Campaign management: Plan, build and optimise Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands and Sponsored Display campaigns across EU marketplaces, working to agreed ACoS/TACoS and revenue targets per account.
- Automation: Use Pacvue to manage bid rules, dayparting and budget pacing at scale; know when to override automation with manual judgement.
- Search term hygiene: Run regular search term analysis – harvesting converting terms into exact-match structures and negating wasted spend – with a clear record of actions taken and impact.
- Budget stewardship: Monitor pacing against monthly budgets across accounts and markets; flag under- and over-delivery early with a recommended reallocation.
Reporting, Data & Monitoring
- Weekly reporting: Produce weekly account performance summaries – sales movement, advertising efficiency, inventory position – with a short written diagnosis of what changed and why, not just the numbers.
- Anomaly detection: Identify significant week-on-week movers (sales drops, traffic or conversion shifts, fee anomalies) and decompose the cause before it reaches the client as a surprise.
- Search performance: Track organic rank and share of query on priority keywords; connect ranking movements to content, availability and advertising decisions.
Content & Catalogue Optimisation
- Listing optimisation: Maintain and improve titles, bullets, backend keywords and product attributes against current Amazon policy (including EU/UK title requirements) and search intent.
- A+ Content and Brand Stores: Brief, implement and maintain A+ Content and Brand Store updates to support conversion and organic visibility; coordinate translated content across EU locales.
Troubleshooting & Escalation
- First escalation point: Take ownership of complex operational issues – feed errors, sudden profitability drops, unexplained listing changes – and drive them to root cause with a documented resolution.
- Playbooks: Codify recurring fixes into repeatable playbooks and checklists so the wider team resolves known issues without re-diagnosis.
Ways of Working
- Work to a weekly operating cadence set with the Commerce Lead: agreed priorities per account, visible progress, and issues raised early with a proposed fix rather than just a flag.
- Support the Commerce Lead on client calls and QBRs with accurate, current account data and clear commentary.
- Mentor Medior and Junior specialists on marketplace operations and PPC craft through hands-on review of their work.
Knowledge & Skills
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in digital commerce and marketplace operations, with meaningful time spent inside Amazon EU accounts.
- Practitioner-level command of Vendor Central and Seller Central: flat files, case management, catalogue troubleshooting, account health and (for Vendor) PO and chargeback processes.
- Proven Amazon Advertising capability across Sponsored Products, Brands and Display; DSP exposure is an advantage.
- Working proficiency with campaign automation and bid management platforms (Pacvue or equivalent).
- Strong analytical rigour: able to pull raw platform data (business reports, search query performance, advertising reports), find the story and turn it into a concrete optimisation.
- Clear written communication in English – concise account commentary, well-structured escalations and client-ready reporting. Additional European languages are a plus given the multi-locale scope.
- Self-directed and reliable: able to run a multi-account workload against a weekly cadence with minimal operational oversight.
