Summary:
In this role, you will partner with infrastructure, application development, security, and Agile Product teams to define and implement Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) and Azure DevOps requirements that support application development initiatives. You will design and enhance cloud automation, deployment, and monitoring capabilities across Azure and multi-cloud environments. You will propose pragmatic solutions to complex technical challenges, improve engineering experiences, and share knowledge across teams while continuing to evaluate emerging technologies and practices.
Responsibilities:
- Design, manage, and maintain native toolsets in a multi-cloud environment that automate operational processes and improve development delivery.
- Partner with Agile Product teams to identify opportunities to improve platform capabilities, deployment processes, and engineering experiences.
- Configure and support Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines and integrations with Azure cloud environments, Artifactory, automated testing tools, Octopus, Jenkins, Pulumi, and other Infrastructure as Code technologies.
- Collaborate with developers and DevOps engineers to test system integrity and support reliable application delivery.
- Partner with Internal IT Infrastructure to establish automation frameworks that support fully automated code deployments.
- Monitor Azure cloud deployments, application performance, pipelines, and related platform environments.
- Administer tools and environments that support Platform and Application Delivery teams.
- Support code deployments and pipeline monitoring across environments, troubleshooting and resolving issues as needed.
- Collaborate with Security and Agile Product teams to implement and automate security controls, governance processes, compliance validations, and configuration requirements that support efficient product releases.
- Evaluate emerging technologies, develop practical demonstrations of proposed solutions, and share technical knowledge with engineering teams.
Qualifications:
- Relevant degree preferred.
- 5 or more years of relevant experience required.
- Experience in cloud engineering, DevOps, or a related technical role required.
- Experience with software development using languages such as Java, C#, or Python and knowledge of CI/CD concepts required.
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code and automation tools such as Pulumi, Terraform, Ansible, or Chef required.
- Experience with service-oriented applications and cloud-based services, preferably Microsoft Azure, required.
- Experience with Windows Server, Linux, PowerShell, or other scripting languages preferred.
- Knowledge of networking and internet protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, and HTTP, preferred.
- Experience with open-source technologies, software development, and system engineering preferred.
- Azure Architect, DevOps, Administrator, or other cloud-related certification preferred.
Estimated Hiring Range:
At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $102,400.00 to $179,000.00.This position is also incentive eligible.
