Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage end-to-end network architectures for Azure Dedicated environments, including hybrid connectivity, ExpressRoute, and SDN-based solutions.
- Integrate and validate 3rd-party platforms (VMware, Nutanix etc.) with Azure networking services to deliver seamless customer experiences.
- Optimize network performance, reliability, and security across large-scale, mission-critical cloud environments.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal Azure teams and external partners to define standards, troubleshoot complex issues, and drive service improvements.
- Contribute to live-site operations, automation, and observability initiatives to improve uptime and reduce manual interventions.
- Enable customer scenarios such as workload migration, hybrid connectivity, and disaster recovery through robust networking designs and automation.
Qualifications

- Doctorate Degree in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- OR Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 3+ years technical experience in network design, development, and automation
- OR Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 4+ years technical experience in network design, development, and automation
- OR equivalent experience.

- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

- 1+ years experience with Azure Networking (VNet, ExpressRoute, Private Link, UDRs, VPN, NSGs) or equivalent cloud networking services.
- 1+ years hands-on experience with enterprise network devices (Cisco, Arista, Juniper, etc.) and automation tools (Ansible, Python, Terraform, PowerShell).
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex network issues in hybrid or multi-cloud environments.

Cloud Network Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $160,200 - $261,000 per year.
