About this role
We are looking for a Senior Platform Engineer to join our Security & Authentication team. In this role, you will be a key technical contributor responsible for securing, hardening, and scaling the foundational platform infrastructure that our workloads depend on. You will own critical capabilities spanning container image security, Kubernetes platform operations, authentication services, and infrastructure automation; while continuously driving down manual toil through AI-assisted automation.
This is a high-impact role for an engineer who thrives at the intersection of platform engineering, security, and developer enablement, and who is comfortable working independently to solve complex, ambiguous problems.

Reporting to: Technology Manager
These are some of the key ingredients to the role:
- Platform Security & Base Images: Remediate high-severity platform vulnerabilities and build CVE-near-free, hardened container base images across the build and distribution pipeline.
- Kubernetes Operations & Governance: Maintain and scale the Kubernetes platform, utilizing Kyverno policies to strictly enforce admission control, security standards, and cluster governance.
- Identity & Access Management: Design and maintain secure, highly available platform authentication using Keycloak (primary) alongside working knowledge of IdentityServer.
- AI & Infrastructure Automation: Automate repetitive BAU operations leveraging AI, while building maintainable platform tooling using Python, Go, Terraform, Terragrunt, CloudFormation, and Ansible.
- Cloud & Operations Ownership: Drive AWS infrastructure operations (GCP secondary), partner with cross-functional stakeholders, and participate in an on-call rotation for incident response.
What will you bring to the table?
- Container & Kubernetes Expertise: Production experience with Docker, Kubernetes platform operations, container hardening, and policy-as-code engines like Kyverno.
- Infrastructure & Automation: Proficiency writing Python and Go tooling, paired with hands-on IaC (Terraform, Terragrunt, Ansible) and CI/CD (GitHub Workflows, ArgoCD).
- Cloud Infrastructure: Strong AWS cloud foundation, with production experience in ECS, EKS, IAM, and Security Hub services.
- Identity Systems: Practical experience implementing and maintaining authentication services (e.g Keycloak or IdentityServer).
- Security & System Engineering: Solid Linux troubleshooting skills and hands-on experience managing vulnerability remediation workflows and minimal CVE image pipelines.
- Ownership & Collaboration: Proactive problem-solving mindset with a passion for leveraging AI to streamline workflows and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners.

Compensation range: $102,600.00 - $135,000.00 Final compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and internal equity.
Skills Required
- Production experience with Docker and Kubernetes platform operations
