Department: MetLife's Small & Specialty Business Market is the fastest growing segment of Group Benefits, with annual growth rates of 4-6% and targeted growth of 10%. As a leader of this fragmented market, MetLife has more than 40,000 customers and averages $250 million in sales per year- representing 4% of the market share. This role would support MetLife's Versant Health business, one of the nation's leading managed vision care companies.
The Role: Responsible for providing exceptional day-to-day administrative service to an assigned portfolio of Vision Insurance Clients within our small group book of business.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Timely and accurate response to all client, member and broker inquiries.
  • Address and resolve complex and critical client escalations.
  • Perform complex tasks independently for a portfolio of clients.
  • Act as a liaison between the client/broker and internal teams.
  • In collaboration with MetLife Sales team, oversee the creation and distribution of client renewals, certificates and policies.
  • Other special projects as needed.


Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

  • Proficient oral/written communication skills.
  • Ability to write clear, concise, and grammatically correct business emails.
  • Adaptable, collaborative, able to work with fellow team members to achieve a common goal.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize client requests to meet deadlines.
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce, Microsoft office, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • 2 years Client Services experience in a professional environment.
  • 1-2 years Insurance, Vision or Medical office experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor's degree preferred.


The salary range for applicants for this position is 41,600 - 57,000.
