Team / division overview:
The position is a permanent role supporting DWS Alternative Asset Management in the execution of AML Due Diligence (KYC) reviews. Reporting to the Team Manager Client Due Diligence – Transactional Due Diligence.
Your responsibilities:
As our Senior Client Due Diligence Analyst - Transactional Due Diligence (KYC), you will:
Acting as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for AML Due Diligence reviews across the Alternatives/Private Markets investment platform, including Real Estate, Infrastructure, Private Equity, and Private Credit.
Conducting AML Due Diligence reviews on new and existing Alternatives transactions, investment structures and Fund service providers.
Performing AML Due Diligence activities, including verification of contracting party information, review of AML/KYC documentation, execution of risk assessments, liaison with Business and Anti-Financial Crime (AFC) stakeholders, advising on KYC requirements, and approval of transactions prior to execution.
Supporting change initiatives related to KYC and Sanctions & Embargoes, including procedural enhancements and system developments within the KYC framework.
Monitoring and reporting issues, risks, and progress in a timely manner.
Managing escalations and coordinating with relevant second-line control functions, as appropriate.
We are looking for:
Strong knowledge of end-to-end KYC and client onboarding processes, including a thorough understanding of Control, Compliance, and Investigation functions within the financial services industry.
Ability to leverage subject matter expertise to drive improvements in operational processes, contribute to process enhancements, and effectively transfer knowledge to colleagues.
Experience within Financial Services, preferably in banking or asset management. Exposure to alternative investment management and investment transaction processes, particularly across Real Estate, Infrastructure, Private Equity, and Private Credit, would be advantageous.
Familiarity with AML/KYC regulations and relevant industry guidance, including AMLR, CSSF requirements, and the German Money Laundering Act (GwG).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with senior stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and deliver against defined project milestones.
University degree or equivalent qualification;
CAMS certification or a comparable professional qualification is desirable.
English, German language skills are considered as a plus
Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, optimise workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs.

Skills Required
