As a Senior Characterization & Verification Engineer (m/f/d), you will join our Power Semiconductor team and play a key role in the characterization and verification of advanced power semiconductor devices, including SiC Schottky Diodes, SiC MOSFETs, Si MOSFETs, and IGBTs. In this position, you will drive the automation and standardization of measurement systems across global sites while contributing to innovation and technical excellence.
About the PositionLead and execute characterization and verification of power semiconductor devices to ensure comprehensive functional coverage.
Collaborate with design leaders and product definers to develop test specifications and verification plans.
Develop, maintain, and optimize automated test setups and measurement systems to improve efficiency and repeatability.
Analyze measurement results and prepare technical reports for datasheets and internal design documentation.
Conduct design verification reviews in alignment with international standards.
Drive global alignment of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across characterization laboratories.
Identify and implement best practices in measurement methodologies, automation, and data analysis.
Troubleshoot test failures, define corrective actions, and support implementation activities.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Semiconductor Technology, or a related discipline.
Minimum 5 years of experience in semiconductor device characterization or a related field.
Proven expertise in electrical power semiconductor characterization, including Si, SiC and GaN technologies.
Strong experience with electrical measurement equipment such as oscilloscopes, parameter analyzers, and PXI systems.
Experience with statistical data analysis and measurement system evaluation.
Advanced understanding of measurement circuit design, high-speed switching behavior, and thermal characterization methods.
Knowledge of IEC 60747 and JEDEC standards, including thermal measurement methodologies such as Rth/Zth analysis.
Experience with automated test development using Python, MATLAB, LabVIEW, C, C++, or C#.
Experience with PCB design and test fixture development.
Deep understanding of high di/dt and dv/dt events and their implications in test environments.
Experience working in a global laboratory environment with cross-site collaboration.
Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to effectively communicate technical findings.
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and drive process improvements.
Passion for mentoring and developing talent within a collaborative and inclusive environment.
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a hands-on approach to problem solving.
For this position, we offer a gross annual salary of approximately €80,000 to €100,000. The final compensation package will be determined based on your experience, qualifications, and technical expertise.
