Senior Business Systems Analyst - PDM & PLM

We’re seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst to support our hardware engineering processes and systems, including PDM, PLM, and project management. This role will evolve the existing business systems and reporting to support the engineering team that develops our Alphabot platform.
This BSA will bring knowledge of the business processes and data systems involved in the design, development, and release to manufacturing for new product introductions and sustaining engineering. This position will work cross-functionally with engineering, supply chain, finance, and other functions to ensure secure storage of engineering drawings and specifications and accurate product data for manufacturing.
The BSA performs a variety of complicated tasks where a wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. The BSA translates business needs into technical solutions, incorporating best practices to ensure reliable, secure, and scalable solutions.

What you’ll work on:
- Gather business and system requirements via interviews and analysis of current systems, reports and data
- Interface with non-technical business users to understand complex business process needs, and translate into functional and technical application, data, and reporting requirements documents
- Provide expert functional guidance including configuration review and setup, functional troubleshooting, setup changes, and data analysis
- Create key project artifacts including functional specifications, configuration documents, user acceptance plan, and promotion instructions
- Assist with defining data models that properly integrate reporting data from the appropriate enterprise systems
- Collaborate with technical resources to ensure solutions meet business needs and verify expected operation
- Promote system changes following change control practices and assist with evolving departmental processes
- Facilitate adoption of systems and changes by providing user documentation and training
- Guide users on effective use of systems, tools, and data
What we’re looking for:
- 5+ years of professional business analysis experience
- Strength in supporting PDM and PLM systems, with strong knowledge of related systems including ERP (order management, inventory, manufacturing) and Project management
- Experience with cloud based applications
- Experience with business intelligence platforms such as Power BI or Tableau; experience defining data models a plus
- Ability to use SQL or DAX queries to produce analytical data
- Ability to clearly document requirements, technical specifications, and test cases
- Expertise with PDM, PLM and ERP systems such as Windchill, Dynamics 365, Salesforce
- Experience with Project Web App and SharePoint a plus
- Excellent functional, analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with the ability to establish effective working relationships and contribute to a team environment
- S. Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related area
