BlackLine's GTM Business Intelligence team is seeking a Senior GTM Business Intelligence Analyst. This role will play a pivotal role in driving data-driven decision-making across our organization. Specificially, you will be responsible for analyzing, reporting, and visualizing data related to the customer revenue journey. This journey encompasses pricing analysis, product sales, discounting strategies, revenue growth through add-ons, and customer renewals including churn and attrition. Your insights will be instrumental in shaping our GTM strategies and optimizing revenue generation. Finally, as member of the GTM BI team, you will participate in data governance activities to ensure GTM metrics are accurate, accessible and actionable.


  • Conduct comprehensive data analysis to understand the customer revenue journey, from pricing strategies to revenue growth and customer retention.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of new pricing models and recommend adjustments based on adoption and customer responses
  • Lead the analysis of NRR (Net Revenue Retention) growth metrics, understanding the impact of upsell, cross-sells, and expansions to NRR
  • Conduct cohort anlaysis to track NRR performance over time, identifying trends and anomalies that require attention
  • Utilize transactional data and customer segmentation techniques to understand the propensity of customers to upgrade or purchase additional products and services
  • Work with the Data Scientists to develop predictive models and segmentation strategies to forecast churn and attrition risks
  • Conduct root cause analysis to understand the reasons behind customer churn and recommend actionable solutions



  • Create visually compelling dashboards and data visualizations using tools such as Tableau to communicate GTM performance metrics to stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track key metrics related to pricing, product sales, discounting effectiveness, revenue growth, and customer renewals.



  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate business needs into actionable insights and data visualization solutions.
  • Document methodologies, data sources, and key findings to create a knowledge repository for GTM analytics
  • Conduct regular knowledge-sharing sessions with cross-functional teams to enhance understanding of pricing data insights
  • Knowledge: Applies concentrated knowledge of one professional discipline or advanced knowledge of several areas

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Business Analytics, Marketing Analytics, Data Science, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in business intelligence, data anlaysis, or related roles within the technology, B2B, and SaaS industry
  • Experience with GTM strategies, customer lifecycle analysis, and subscription-based business models
  • Expertise in data visulzation tools such as Tableau with a strong focus on creating intuitive and impactful dashboards
  • Strong business acumen with ability to translate data insights into actionable recommendations for marketing and sales teams
  • Highly analytical mindset with a keen attention to detail and a passion for problem-solving
  • Experienced in data analysis tools and languages such as SQL for querying databases and extracting relevant data
  • Familiarity with Google BigQuery
  • Previous experience working with Data Scentists to build machine learning prediction models is a plus



  • Experience with Salesforce, Marketo, Tableau, Bizible, 6sense
  • Familiar with BlackLine or other common financial systems such as Hyperion, etc. is a plus.
  • Experience using Python and/or R

Placement within this range depends upon several factors, including the applicant's prior relevant job experience, skill set, and geographic location. In addition to base pay, BlackLine also offers short-term and long-term incentive programs, based on eligibility, along with a robust offering of benefit and wellness plans.
