Overview:

If you're looking for the stability of a profitable, growing company with the entrepreneurial spirit of a startup, we’re hiring. SageSure, a leader in catastrophe-exposed property insurance, is seeking a Staff Business Systems Analyst. In this role, you will build and scale a centralized program performance capability—defining how program health is measured, reported, and continuously improved. You’ll operate at the intersection of business strategy, program engineering, distribution, and technology, translating complex system interactions into clear, executive-ready insights. The ideal candidate is a strategic systems thinker who thrives in ambiguity, connects business and technology seamlessly, and brings the credibility, ownership, and technical depth to turn performance data into meaningful operational advantage.

What you’d be doing:

  • Define and formalize a performance point of view (POV) of SageSure’s programs, including KPIs, health standards, and governance frameworks.
  • Establish enterprise standards for program health, operational readiness, and executive reporting.
  • Build and oversee centralized data repositories and scalable reporting infrastructure across Commercial programs.
  • Identify which performance and monitoring capabilities should be built, automated, or internalized over time.
  • Analyze operational performance trends and deliver data-driven recommendations to improve throughput, quality inspection processing, referral workflows, renewals performance, and integrated distribution oversight.
  • Translate complex technical and performance data into executive-ready insights, decision frameworks, and roadmap recommendations.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Software and Program teams to prioritize, design, and implement performance improvements.
  • Anticipate performance risks and proactively implement improvements before issues materially impact results.
  • Set high standards for documentation, analytical rigor, and solution design quality.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to Senior and junior analysts, elevating overall team capability.
  • Ad hoc duties and responsibilities as assigned

We’re looking for someone who has:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering, or related field
  • 7+ years of experience in the Insurance industry, preferably personal lines, homeowners, and/or commercial BOP.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with SQL, Java, and/or Python, including advanced query development and data validation.
  • Advanced applied use of Excel/VBA
  • Experience building centralized data repositories, dashboards, or BI reporting solutions.
  • Experience designing scalable reporting or performance-monitoring frameworks.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex medium-to-large scale, cross-functional initiatives.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business language.
  • Demonstrated ability to turn raw data into actionable insights, executive-ready narratives, and decision frameworks.
  • Strong systems thinking and ability to connect operational workflows with platform architecture.
  • Strong reputation for ownership, influence, and high-quality delivery in fast-paced environments.

Highly preferred candidates also have:

  • Experience in actuarial or finance industry
  • Experience with PostGres, ElasticSearch, SpringBoot, Apache Camel, or Go
