Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst with proven experience in medium to large-scale Finance transformation programs. The selected candidate will join a project team to collaborate with business stakeholders in Finance and Actuarial areas, gathering requirements, analysing the current state, designing target state processes, conducting data analysis, and acting as a liaison among business, project, system implementation, and IT teams, both internal and external.

This is a 12-month fixed term contract, working flexibly from our Sydney office.

In this role you will: 

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to elicit, document, and validate business requirements for the transformation project, conduct a thorough analysis of existing business processes, and identify opportunities for improvement and optimisation
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation throughout the project lifecycle. Establish traceability from requirements to solution design and to test cases
  • Facilitate communication and understanding between technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Support test teams to ensure test plans, scenarios, cases adhere to requirements and collaborate with quality assurance teams to support issue resolution.
  • Lead the analysis and mapping of data from legacy systems to the new ERP SaaS solution

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in business analysis on medium to large-scale transformation programs
  • Experience in Finance ERP, general ledger, and actuarial system projects
  • Ability to engage stakeholders at various levels in the organisation, build rapport quickly and develop long-term relationships
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity, respond to short deadlines, and effectively manage multiple priorities
  • Tertiary degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field, preferred
