About the Role

You will facilitate strategic conversations with executives at client organizations to understand their needs and align technology solutions with their goals. You will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions. Your responsibilities will include conducting analyses of our clients’ business processes and systems to identify opportunities for improvement and optimization. You will map out system workflows, define data requirements, and ensure that solutions align with public behavioral health goals and regulatory standards. Collaborating with clients and stakeholders, you will gather and document detailed requirements, create functional specifications, and facilitate communication between cross-functional teams. Your expertise in data analysis and healthcare systems will be crucial in designing and implementing solutions that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of public health initiatives. Additionally, you will provide strategic insights and recommendations to drive innovation and support the company’s mission of improving public health outcomes through advanced technology solutions.

What You’ll Do:

  • Facilitate client requirement gathering sessions to  gather, document, and refine business requirements, transforming them into actionable user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications.
  • Apply product line templates and frameworks to various clients needs in order to streamline the implementation of workflows, focusing on scalability and consistency.
  • Establish a structured methodology for aligning client-specific requirements with existing product capabilities and documenting gaps.
  • Document current process flows and identify opportunities for improvement by collecting data and collaborating with subject matter experts to gain a comprehensive understanding of system usability and performance.
  • Lead user acceptance testing to validate that solutions meet client needs, ensuring functionality, usability, and alignment with business requirements.
  • Define and document key data elements, including attributes, relationships, and dependencies, ensuring alignment with application requirements and seamless integration with systems.
  • Ensure client-specific data definitions, formats, and relationships are accurately captured, maintaining data integrity and supporting efficient access and analysis.
  • Work closely with data teams to integrate client analytics requirements into the project implementation phase, ensuring that data is leveraged to meet business and technical goals.
  • Conduct data analysis to evaluate workflow effectiveness, providing actionable insights for continuous improvement and optimization of tools and processes.
  • Participate in post-implementation reviews to evaluate the deployed solution against business needs, ensuring that the system is optimized for client use and delivering the anticipated benefits.

The Experience You’ll Need:

  • 5+ years of experience in business analysis, management consulting, product management, or a related field, with a focus on gathering requirements and documenting enterprise workflows.
  • Proven ability to analyze complex workflows and processes and translate them into clear technical specifications and data requirements.
  • Expertise in using data analytics tools and techniques to support evidence-based decision-making and improvement opportunities
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with large sets of data, workflows, and requirements to ensure accuracy and completeness in documentation.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders and synthesize their needs.
  • Strong collaborative skills to work in multidisciplinary teams.

Nice-to-have skills:

  • Understanding of health interoperability standards such as HL7 and FHIR, and experience with EHR systems.
  • BS/BA in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Computer Science, Data Analysis, or a related discipline is nice to have but not required
  • Proficiency in SQL for querying and analyzing structured data
  • Strong Excel skills, including data manipulation, pivot tables, and advanced functions
  • Experience with data analysis techniques to derive insights and inform decision-making

Compensation Disclosure

The anticipated base salary for this position is $140,000 to $160,000, based on the Los Angeles market. The base salary offered may vary depending on several factors, including the applicant's qualifications, relevant experience, specific skills, level of education, certifications, and the geographic location where the role will be performed.

Please note that the listed compensation details apply to the base salary only and do not include additional elements of the total compensation package, such as performance bonuses, stock options, or benefits. The final compensation package will be determined by evaluating the candidate’s qualifications in relation to market standards and internal pay equity.
