Neuromodulation

Our Neuromodulation business includes implantable devices compatible with mobile technology to help people who suffer from chronic pain and movement disorders. These non-opioid therapies allow us to provide interventional pain therapy to patients throughout the pain continuum.

The Opportunity

The field of neuromodulation within healthcare is growing and exciting. Abbott aims to grow its leadership in spinal cord stimulation, deep brain stimulation, and other neuromodulation therapies. Strategy and data lie at the heart of that vision. We are looking for a business analyst who can extract insights from data and tell a story around the right strategy.  

This highly impactful and visible role works across the organization with several teams and stakeholders. The questions to answer evolve daily but are ultimately aimed at helping patients live their lives to the fullest. 

We are looking for someone who can self-start and lead projects, draw relevant conclusions from various data sources, and present those confidently to senior leadership.  

Our location in Austin, TX, currently has an opportunity for a Senior Business Analyst.  

What You'll Work On

  • Manage external partners (i.e. purchased pricing data, claims data, etc), harmonize data and build/maintain dashboards for leadership to use.

  • Manage the dissemination of market research insights through maintenance of a centrally accessible SharePoint.

  • Automate new and existing reports in PowerBI and Excel. Conceptualize, design and develop insightful data visualizations and analysis for key business stakeholders

  • Support quarterly market modeling and competitor earnings reports

  • Support Upstream and Commercial with targeting and analytics from external datasets

  • Build models to predict competitor and new product launch performance using historical analogs

  • Advise IT on data structure design to ensure interoperability between datasets

  • Run statistical analysis on quantitative market research

Required Qualifications

  • B.S. in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and work experience

  • 3+ years of related work experience using statistical analysis or data modeling methods, no need to be specific to this industry

  • Excellent analytical and modeling skills for business case development 

  • Ability to tell a user story clearly, concisely, and persuasively 

  • Ability to work independently and in groups 

  • Ability to work cross-functionally 

  • Ability to ideate, hypothesize and test

  • Ability to form interpersonal relationships 

  • Ability to lead and influence without direct authority

  • Strong aptitude to learn 

  • Excellent use of MS Office including PowerPoint, Excel, PowerBI software. Python preferred but not required. 

  • Ability to learn new tasks quickly and coordinate multiple tasks in a fast paced environment. 

  • Multitasks, prioritizes and meets deadlines in timely manner. 

  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills, as well as attention to detail.

  • MBA preferred

The base pay for this position is

$72,700.00 – $145,300.00

In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
