Position Summary
The Senior Business Analyst leads enterprise-level business analysis and process improvement efforts that support Association projects, solve complex business problems, reduce risk and inefficiency, and deliver measurable organizational value. This role partners with business, technology, and risk stakeholders at all levels of the Association to assess business needs, analyze problems and processes holistically, define clear requirements, recommend future-state solutions that support organizational objectives, and support testing and readiness to ensure outcomes align with Association strategy.
Key Functions / Essential Duties
- Drives discovery and analysis for business issues, enterprise projects, operational excellence opportunities, and remediation efforts
- Translates business needs into concise, actionable requirements, user stories, and analysis artifacts to inform solution design and delivery.
- Facilitates and creates current and future state process mapping in support of enterprise projects and operational excellence efforts
- Performs end-to-end process analysis to identify opportunities for standardization, simplification, automation, control enhancement, and measurable improvement.
- Evaluates changes to workflows and provides recommendations for process and system enhancements; designs and aligns future state process solutions with organizational strategy and business objectives.
- Applies business analysis and process improvement methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma, root cause analysis, gap analysis, and value stream thinking to evaluate problems and identify solutions that mitigate risk, reduce operational friction, and solve for true root causes.
- Coordinates and facilitates Business User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including helping business partners define test scenarios, use cases, acceptance criteria, and readiness activities needed to support successful implementation.
- Supports product investigation by capturing requirements and helping to evaluate potential solutions and vendors.
- Builds strong working relationships with technical, business, and risk stakeholders, drives alignment and decision-making, and communicates complex information clearly through written, verbal, and visual formats.
- Influences cross-functional teams of leaders and stakeholders using analysis, data, and well-reasoned recommendations
- Provides informal mentorship and guidance to Business Analysts and stakeholders by articulating and modeling structured and holistic problem-solving and analysis methodologies
Knowledge
- Advanced knowledge of Business Analysis deliverables and best practices, as well as the ability to discern and apply the appropriate Business Analysis tools situationally
- Fluency in Lean Six Sigma and Scrum/Agile principles and methodologies
- Advanced knowledge of process mapping, process design, and process analysis tools and best practices
- Strong business acumen with the ability to understand business operations, enterprise strategy, process capabilities, technology enablement, governance, and organizational interdependencies.
- Strong knowledge of the financial services industry (banking and/or Farm Credit Associations)
Skills
- Experience creating business and process analysis documents such as BRDs, RTMs, user stories, use cases, acceptance criteria, test scenarios, process maps, root cause analysis, and gap analysis
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to discern true root causes of issues from downstream symptoms
- High degree of comfort navigating ambiguity and complexity and driving clarity, alignment, and action across multiple business lines and stakeholders
- Proven ability to analyze, improve, and design cross-functional processes within a highly regulated environment
- Strong liaison between business and technology, with the ability to clearly convey needs, dependencies and constraints between business partners, risk teams, and IT
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; able to synthesize information, data, and insights into clear, persuasive artifacts
- Excellent facilitation skills with the ability to influence diplomatically, challenge assumptions constructively, and build consensus across various organizational levels and audiences
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to support multiple priorities and stakeholders effectively
- Advanced use of Microsoft Office tools, including Copilot, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Outlook

Minimum Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent industry experience
Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Business Analysis, process analysis and continuous improvement roles.
Financial services or regulated industry experience is required
Preferred Qualifications
Licenses/Certifications: Lean Six Sigma or Business Analysis certification is preferred
Relevant Scrum/Agile certifications (Scrum Master, Product Owner, etc.) or experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment preferred
Travel Requirements
Some travel may be required in performance of job (less than 5%)
Work Environment / Physical Requirements
This position requires the ability to perform essential job functions in a professional office environment, which may include both indoor and outdoor work settings as needed.
The employee is regularly required to sit for extended periods and perform work at a desk and computer. Effective written and verbal communication skills are necessary to collaborate with others and convey information.
The role requires the ability to communicate, remain in a stationary position for periods of time, and use hands and fingers to operate standard office equipment. The employee may also need to reach in various directions and occasionally move or lift items up to 25 pounds.
Work is generally performed during established business hours; however, occasional evening and/or weekend work may be required.

Minimum $111,487.88 - Max $189,529.39 AnnualThis range is reflective of the national salary average for this position and will be adjusted using geographic variance for physical location of the hired candidate. American AgCredit may compensate outside of the salary range for bona fide reasons not related to membership in a protected class.
Reflected is the national base pay range and title offered for this job at the current level.
Compensation, title, and job level may be adjusted based on candidate qualifications including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location.
Salary offered, within the applicable range, is one component of the total rewards package offered to candidates.
