Job Description
Key responsibilities:
Lead the design, development, and continuous improvement of innovative business intelligence and AI solutions that simplify processes, enhance decision-making, and support strategic goals.
Partner with senior leaders across functions and geographies to identify business needs, emerging trends, and opportunities, translating them into impactful digital tools and solutions.
Plan, lead, and coordinate cross-functional teams, including third-party providers, across multiple locations, ensuring timely, high-quality, and on-budget delivery of complex, high-impact projects.
Drive consistency, scalability, and robustness across digital initiatives, maintaining high standards of quality, governance, and budget control.
Promote the adoption of digital tools by ensuring data accuracy, quality, and standardised deployment, building credibility and trust across the organisation.
Align digital finance initiatives with Novartis’ strategic priorities, particularly in data and digital transformation, while monitoring emerging technologies and applying fit-for-purpose innovations.
Support and develop team members to foster a high-performing, future-ready digital finance team, committed to excellence and continuous learning.
Work closely with DD&IT and Data Science teams to co-create best-in-class digital finance solutions that deliver measurable business value.
Essential Requirements:
University degree required; Master’s degree or MBA preferred
Approximately 10 years’ relevant experience in a multinational environment
Proven expertise in business intelligence, analytics, and digital finance transformation
Strong project management skills in complex, matrixed organisations. Successful
Proficiency in data architecture (SQL Server, DB and SSAS), visualization tools (e.g. Power BI, QlikSense), and AI/ML solution design
Excellent communication skills in English; Spanish is an advantage
Desirable Requirements:
Experience in the pharmaceutical industry or healthcare sector
Prior success as a product owner in digital finance or analytics projects
