Role Overview
We are looking for a highly experienced and independent Senior Bookkeeper to join our team and take full ownership of the company’s bookkeeping operations. This is a unique opportunity to become the first in-house finance function, reporting directly to the Senior Controller and playing a key role in building the finance infrastructure from the ground up.
As the first and only bookkeeper in the company at this stage, we are looking for someone who is proactive, reliable, and capable of managing all aspects of bookkeeping, including a strong understanding of all balance sheet items. The ideal candidate will be able to lead financial processes, work independently, and collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping, including journal entries and bank reconciliations
- Handle revenue, customer billing, and payment processes (local and international)
- Prepare VAT reports and manage payments to authorities
- Maintain and monitor fixed assets
- Perform cash flow and balance sheet reconciliations
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities
- Work closely with external service providers and auditors
Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience as a bookkeeper, preferably in a high-growth or tech company
- Strong knowledge of balance sheet structure and GL accounts
- Experience working with ERP systems (NetSuite – strong advantage)
- Advanced Excel skills
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Fluent in Hebrew; good English (especially reading and writing)
