Senior Billing Operations Analyst

Fireworks AI is looking for a Senior Billing Operations Analyst to own the end-to-end onboarding, billing, accounts receivable, and collections experience for Enterprise Clients

This is a high-impact role at the intersection of GTM Finance, Sales, RevOps, Deal Desk, and Revenue Accounting. You will translate complex commercial arrangements into scalable and accurate billing operations, proactively manage receivables, resolve customer issues, and help build the controls and processes required as Fireworks AI scales.

• Own the operational lifecycle for strategic and large contracted customers from customer onboarding and order setup through billing, AR management, and collections.

• Review approved commercial and contractual terms and translate them into accurate billing configurations, schedules, and invoice requirements.

• Execute and validate timely and accurate customer invoicing, including complex or customized billing arrangements.

• Own AR aging for your customer portfolio and proactively drive collections and escalation of past-due balances.

• Serve as the primary Finance Operations point of contact for billing inquiries and disputes for strategic customers.

• Investigate billing discrepancies, deductions, and disputes and coordinate resolution across Sales, Customer Success, Deal Desk, and Revenue Accounting.

• Monitor credit and collection risks and recommend appropriate escalation, bad-debt, or write-off actions to Revenue Accounting.

• Support month-end close, including AR reconciliations, aging validation, billing completeness, and resolution of outstanding items.

• Execute and maintain O2C controls, including SOX controls, segregation-of-duties requirements, supporting documentation, and audit evidence.

• Identify root causes of billing and collection issues and drive process improvements.

• Partner with Finance Systems and other teams to automate billing workflows and build scalable O2C infrastructure.

• Own and report portfolio KPIs, including billing accuracy, DSO, past-due AR, collection effectiveness, disputes, and unapplied cash.

• 5–8+ years of experience in Billing Operations, Accounts Receivable, Order-to-Cash, Finance Operations, or a related function.

• Experience supporting complex contractual billing arrangements.

• Strong understanding of the end-to-end O2C lifecycle, including billing, AR, collections, disputes, reconciliations, and close.

• Experience operating in a SOX-controlled environment and a strong understanding of segregation of duties.

• Strong analytical and reconciliation skills with exceptional attention to detail.

• Excellent customer-facing and cross-functional communication skills.

• Ability to interpret commercial terms and translate them into operational billing requirements.

• Experience working with ERP, billing, CRM, and collections systems.

• Comfortable operating in a fast-growing environment where processes and systems are evolving rapidly.

You create a highly reliable billing and collections experience for Fireworks AI's largest customers while reducing billing errors, disputes, and past-due AR. You also help transform complex customer-specific processes into scalable, controlled operating models that can support Fireworks AI's continued growth.
