In Finance, Market and Credit Risk Technology (FMCRT) we’re pushing the limits of technology. Our products and initiatives adhere to Citi’s strategic architecture principles and support the end-to-end integration of multiple global functions within the bank including Finance, Risk, and Controllers.
About the Role
We are seeking experienced and highly skilled Senior BI (Tableau) Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have over 7+ years of hands-on experience in Tableau development and a strong background in data visualization, analytics, and database development. This role requires advanced technical skills, the ability to manage complex projects, and experience in mentoring junior developers.
Key Responsibilities- Advanced Dashboard Development: Design, develop, and maintain complex and interactive Tableau dashboards and reports that provide deep business insights.
- Data Integration and Management: Integrate and manage data from multiple sources to create comprehensive and reliable reports.
- Advanced Data Analysis: Conduct in-depth data analysis to support business requirements and translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Requirement Gathering and Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather detailed reporting requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Performance Tuning: Optimize Tableau dashboards and reports for performance, scalability, and user experience.
- Documentation and Best Practices: Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for Tableau reports, dashboards, and data sources. Establish and enforce best practices in data visualization and dashboard design.
- Mentoring and Training: Mentor junior developers and provide training and support to end-users on advanced Tableau functionalities and best practices.
- Innovation and Improvement: Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in Tableau and data visualization technologies, and implement innovative solutions to improve business processes.
- Experience on Server Setup and Governance – Adding users to the server, assign permissions to users and user management. Creating a project folder and managing workbooks. Migrating workbooks from lower environments to higher environments. Data source creation at the server. Excellent understanding of Active Directory.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field.
- Experience: 8+ years of hands-on experience on Tableau or Equivalent Analytics technology.
- Technical Skills:
- Advanced proficiency in Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server.
- Strong SQL skills and extensive experience with data querying and manipulation.
- Experience with data warehousing, ETL processes, and data modeling.
- Familiarity with other data visualization tools is a plus.
- Proficiency on any scripting language will be preferred.
- Analytical Skills: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex data insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver high-quality results on time.
- Certifications: Tableau certifications (e.g., Tableau Desktop Specialist, Tableau Server Certified Associate) are highly desirable.
- Project Management: Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Leadership: Demonstrated experience in leading and mentoring a team of developers.
