Job DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Backend Engineer to join our team in Karachi. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in backend development, with a focus on optimizing application performance and ensuring smooth data exchange. This role involves designing and implementing robust backend solutions, integrating frontend elements, and collaborating closely with frontend engineers to define APIs and develop communication protocols. You will play a crucial role in enhancing the responsiveness and efficiency of our applications.
Key Responsibilities:Architect and develop high-performance RESTful APIs (Nest.js/Node.js) to support huge volume of queries.
Partner with frontend teams to define API contracts and integration workflows.
Optimize PostgreSQL/MySQL queries, database schemas, and indexing strategies for high-traffic systems.
Implement caching solutions (Redis) and load-balancing techniques to reduce latency and ensure sub-100ms response times.
Design secure authentication/authorization systems (JWT, OAuth) and audit data encryption practices.
Lead performance tuning, including memory leak detection, concurrency optimization, and scaling Node.js microservices.
Build monitoring/logging systems (OpenTelemetry, ELK) for production-grade troubleshooting and uptime SLAs.
Enforce API rate limiting and fault tolerance to maintain stability during traffic spikes.
