Senior Backend Developer (Remote in Poland)

The Opportunity

• Help enterprise clients save millions of dollars in travel expenses annually
• Contribute to a sophisticated system managing billions in Air and Hotel spend while tracking hundreds of millions of data points
• Drive growth of our product offerings and expand our client base
• Work with Python, Kotlin, and TypeScript to develop:

* High-performance backend services and data pipelines

* Distributed infrastructure systems

* Complex business logic and intelligent filtering algorithms

* Fare tracking optimization solutions

Your impact:

• Help clients potentially save millions of dollars in travel expenses.
• Contribute to the development of a sophisticated system that efficiently manages billions of dollars in Air and Hotel Spend while automatically tracking hundreds of millions of data points.
• Help Oversee grow its product offering and potential client base considerably.

You have:

• 5+ years of industry experience in software engineering
• Computer Science degree from a leading academic institution
• Proven experience with architectural patterns for distributed, high-scale applications
• Demonstrated ability to solve performance bottlenecks and scale-related challenges
• Experience with either Python/Django, Java/Kotlin or other JVM language, TypeScript/React
• Strong knowledge of Linux runtime environments
• Experience integrating third-party APIs (REST/SOAP)
• Excellent collaboration skills with ability to give and receive constructive feedback
• Fluent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Proactive mindset with eagerness to learn and improve

Preferred Qualifications (Advantages):

• Experience with the travel industry, especially GDS APIs (Sabre/Amadeus/Travelport)
• Contributions to open-source projects or notable side projects
• Experience with Kubernetes, AWS, Terraform, and general DevOps skills
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and CI/CD practices
