Want to build backend systems that other developers rely on every day? As a Senior Backend Software Developer in the Platform Identity & Entitlements (PIE) team, you’ll work at the core of the Coveo Platform™, building and evolving the central services that enable our customers to create, manage, secure and govern their Coveo organization.
Your work will span backend development and cloud infrastructure, with a strong focus on reliability, scalability and maintainability. Because the PIE team develops foundational systems core to our customer journey and used across research and development, you’ll collaborate closely with other development teams and help them successfully build on the services your team provides.
As a Senior Backend Developers, you will:- Design, develop and maintain backend services that power core capabilities of the Coveo Platform™ (like user management, groups and permissions, licensing, etc.) .
- Own services throughout their lifecycle, from technical design and implementation to deployment, monitoring and ongoing maintenance in production.
- Build reliable and scalable systems while proactively identifying performance, availability and operational risks.
- Collaborate with other development teams to design solutions that integrate effectively with the services and capabilities owned by your team.
- Monitor the health, performance and availability of production systems, investigating issues and implementing sustainable improvements.
- Contribute your backend expertise to technical discussions, code reviews and continuous improvements while sharing knowledge with other developers.
- At least 5 years of software development experience, with strong experience developing backend systems in a cloud environment and solid Java knowledge.
- Demonstrated experience designing and maintaining reusable services for large-scale systems with complex infrastructure or a significant user base.
- Experience taking ownership of production services, including their reliability, performance, deployment and ongoing evolution.
- Strong problem-solving skills, resourcefulness and the ability to independently navigate complex technical challenges while collaborating effectively with others.
- Experience developing backend applications with Spring Boot.
- Hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and cloud-native architectures.
- Familiarity with infrastructure and orchestration technologies such as Terraform and Kubernetes.
- Experience with continuous integration systems such as GitHub Actions or equivalent.
