We’re looking for a Senior Backend Developer to join us at Telia.
I’m Liudas Markevičius, Head of Core Digital Services, and I’m searching for someone ready to grow with us. We’re a result oriented, forward-thinking team focused on developing next-generation self-service portal.
What you’ll do:
You’ll play a key role in shaping and scaling the backend behind our self-service portal. Working closely with a cross-functional team and business stakeholders, you will not only build features but also influence how the platform evolves. Your responsibilities will include:
Owning and evolving the backend roadmap, balancing scalability, performance, cost, and reliability.
Designing and building secure, high-performance, cloud-native microservices on AWS.
Writing, reviewing, and testing clean, maintainable code to keep the codebase healthy and releases smooth.
Embedding security, logging, and monitoring from day one to proactively detect and resolve issues.
Collaborating with product, frontend, and other engineering teams to deliver real business value.

This role is ideal for a proactive developer with a structured, analytical mindset who is motivated to grow into a future tech lead position. Someone who wants to combine solution designing and hands-on development. You’ll feel home here if you bring:
Solid hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot, gained across multiple projects, products, or features.
Strong understanding of microservices architecture and RESTful API design and implementation.
Confidence in testing, including JUnit unit tests and integration tests.
Experience working in collaborative development environments (code reviews, shared ownership).

Monthly salary range for this position - 4300-6400 Eur (gross) + annual performance bonus. Although it may vary depending on your skills and experience.
