JetBrains delivers a wide array of software products to a global customer base numbering in the millions. These customers rely on the JetBrains Account portal and its associated services to acquire and manage their product licenses. This web platform attracts approximately two million monthly users, encompassing both individual and corporate clients.
The Business Applications Development team is responsible for the ongoing enhancement, development, and maintenance of this critical portal. However, the team's scope extends beyond JetBrains Account. They also oversee License Vault, available as a cloud service and as an on-premises component integrated within JetBrains IDE Services. Furthermore, the team is actively involved in the continuous improvement of JetBrains' core authentication services.
As JetBrains experiences continuous growth and evolution, its daily operations depend on a multitude of internal applications functioning seamlessly. These essential systems include the online license store facilitating product purchases, a comprehensive customer database storing detailed license histories, a proprietary CRM system for managing customer interactions, the central JetBrains Account portal for user management, and various license servers responsible for validating software usage. The Business Applications Development team plays a pivotal role in the development, maintenance, and ongoing optimization of this extensive suite of internal business applications, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of JetBrains' global business activities.
