We are looking for a Senior Backend and DevOps Engineer to develop and scale our platform that supports our medical devices and applications while ensuring seamless interconnection with our customers and partners.
Working closely with the VP engineering, you will have a unique opportunity to shape our technical and production architecture and be instrumental in building a revolutionary set of contactless automated health monitoring products.
What you will do:- Influence and lead Backend and DevOps practices
- Solve problems on the boundary of software, hardware, AI and the real world
- Design, build and maintain
- Our Cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP) for our apps and IoT devices
- Our APIs (Entreprise, Internal, Live Streaming)
- Healthcare interoperability connectors to FHIR, HL7 and other electronic health record systems
- Our CI/CD pipelines (GitLab)
- Make critical technical choices for platforms, languages, security, procedures and best practices
- Stay on top of technical innovation to identify technologies we should integrate
- Help grow the team
- Contribute to building a tech culture focused on diversity and excellence
- Experience leading software development projects and guiding engineers in best practices
- Ability to make, share and document architecture and design choices
- Strong coding skills in at least one of these languages (Go, Python, C++)
- Proven experience architecting and operating large-scale, data-driven backend systems supporting thousands of concurrent devices and users, with expertise in NoSQL databases (e.g. MongoDB), cloud storage (e.g. S3), and container orchestration (e.g. Kubernetes), API design (e.g. REST API, GraphQL APIs, etc.).
- Strong proficiency with cloud-native development including serverless computing (AWS Lambda, Google Cloud Functions), managed services, and infrastructure-as-code to design highly available systems that efficiently support thousands of users and IoT devices
- Passion for building secure systems that preserves our users privacy
- Experience with monitoring and incident management (eg. DataDog)
- Experience in medically compliant systems is a plus (ISO13485, IEC62304)
- Knowledge of web dashboards and UI development would be a plus (Vue.js)
