Job Summary
As a Corporate Commodity Sales professional in the Corporate Commodity Sales team in Paris, you will lead client interactions and drive the execution of commodity trades within the energy sector. You will work closely with a diverse range of clients, including utilities, consumers, refiners, and upstream organizations across natural gas, power, carbon emissions, oil, and refined products. You will help shape our sales strategy and enhance our client offerings. Together, we foster a collaborative and inclusive environment where your contributions matter.
Job responsibilities
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key clients, providing tailored OTC solutions in the energy commodities space
  • Oversee the trade execution process, ensuring accuracy in trade booking, order taking, and compliance with regulatory standards
  • Mentor junior team members in best practices for trade execution
  • Analyze market trends and drivers to identify new business opportunities
  • Develop and implement strategic sales initiatives that align with market conditions and client needs
  • Partner with trading, research, corporate banking, and risk management teams to deliver comprehensive solutions to clients
  • Facilitate effective communication between departments to enhance client service
  • Lead efforts to refine and optimize the sales process, including our e-platform offering
  • Ensure efficiency and effectiveness in client interactions and trade execution
  • Provide guidance and support to junior team members, fostering a culture of learning and professional growth
  • Monitor sales performance metrics and prepare reports for senior management, highlighting achievements, challenges, and opportunities for improvement

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Significant experience (ideally over 8 years) in commodities sales, with a focus on energy and OTC solutions
  • Ability to analyze complex market data and trends to inform strategic decisions and client recommendations
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts clearly and effectively
  • Strong leadership qualities with a collaborative mindset and experience mentoring junior colleagues
  • Deep understanding of client needs and the ability to deliver exceptional service
  • Advanced proficiency in analytical tools and knowledge of credit risk related metrics
  • Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy and compliance

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Experience working with clients across multiple energy sectors, including natural gas, power, carbon emissions, oil, and refined products
  • Familiarity with e-platform sales solutions in commodities trading
  • Proven ability to develop and implement strategic sales initiatives
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in a global organization
  • Professional qualifications from reputable training institutes or professional bodies in commodities or finance
  • Demonstrated success in optimizing sales processes and driving efficiency
  • Fluency in French and English
