About the Role
As a Senior AWS DevOps Engineer, you will play a key role in shaping and evolving a global CI/CD platform. You will partner with engineering teams to build secure, scalable, and reliable delivery pipelines, leveraging infrastructure as code, automation, and modern DevOps practices. This role offers the opportunity to influence platform standards, improve developer experience, and enable efficient, consistent software delivery across cloud environments.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform and/or AWS CloudFormation
- Develop and support Jenkins shared libraries, pipeline templates, and reusable deployment patterns
- Support the migration of legacy pipelines to standardized CI/CD approaches with clear documentation and best practices
- Integrate automated security, quality, and compliance checks into CI/CD pipelines and improve observability using tools such as Open Telemetry
- Build and support Python-based tooling, packages, and automation to enhance platform capabilities and developer experience
- Collaborate with application teams to design CI/CD flows aligned with platform standards
- Provide operational support for pipelines and platform components, including critical incident support when needed
- Mentor team members and contribute to a collaborative culture of continuous improvement
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with AWS and infrastructure as code using Terraform and/or AWS CloudFormation
- Strong experience designing and supporting CI/CD platforms, with expertise in Jenkins and modernizing pipelines
- Strong Python skills, including building reusable tooling and automation and have a good understanding of container and deployment practices such as Docker, ECR, GitOps, and blue/green deployments
- Experience integrating security, quality, and compliance controls into engineering workflows
- Experience improving observability using Open Telemetry or similar monitoring practices
- Strong troubleshooting skills with experience supporting platform and pipeline issues, including critical incidents
- Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills, with experience working across global teams
- Practical experience using AI tools in engineering workflows to improve productivity and delivery outcomes
- Experience with GitHub Actions and/or Azure DevOps, and exposure to Kubernetes including troubleshooting in containerized environments
