Vestmark is actively looking for a motivated Senior AWS DevOps Engineer with a passion for applying technology to continue to modernize our internal processes and infrastructure. Responsibilities:
- Build, deploy and manage AWS cloud Infrastructure components by leveraging Infrastructure as Code and foundational AWS Services.
- Identify opportunities to automate and/or improve efficiency of existing processes.
- Research, create proof-of-concepts, and implement new or improved tools and technologies.
- Configure cloud services according to industry and AWS best practices.
- Assist in monitoring and troubleshooting and identifying resolutions for system or application performance issues.
- Participate in architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment, security, cost-effectiveness, and high availability.
- Take ownership of issues and act with a high sense of urgency when needed.
- Produce lean and well-written technical documentation and operational runbooks.
- Develop and implement internal systems, processes, and best practices to be used by other teams to increase productivity.
- Setup and maintain all cloud-based Linux server infrastructure for development teams.
- Ensure all infrastructure components meet proper performance and security standards.
- Write automated scripts for server provisioning and configuration.
- Enable self-service infrastructure management via Terragrunt/Terraform and custom tooling.
- Recommend best practices for Terragrunt/Terraform and other Infrastructure as Code uses across the organization.
- Flexibility to occasionally work outside of core business hours, including evenings and weekends, as required to support on-call duties, deployments, and infrastructure changes.

Qualifications:
- B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or Information Systems, or equivalent work experience.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with foundational AWS Services (EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, CloudFront, Lambda, EKS, ECS, Route53, Serverless Application Model, etc.)
- Prior knowledge working on serverless technologies, services, and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes etc.)
- Experience with CloudFormation, Terragrunt/Terraform, Jenkins or other Infrastructure as Code solutions
- Strong DevOps knowledge and background (culture, process, and tooling aspects)
- Ability to build code pipelines and support deployment activities
- Ability to work independently and as a team to architect and implement innovative solutions and technologies
- Solid written and verbal communication skills; the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and management
- Experience writing internal tooling or services to bridge infrastructure gaps
