This is not a maintenance role — it is a build-and-lead role. You will define automation strategy, design scalable test infrastructure, and ensure that automated validation is tightly coupled with firmware, mobile, and cloud development workflows. You will partner closely with Software Engineering, DevOps, Release Engineering, and Quality leaders to drive shift-left practices, increase regression coverage, reduce escape defects, and enable faster, safer product releases across headphones, earbuds, Bluetooth speakers, and home theater systems.

What You’ll DoArchitect & Build a Modern Automation Framework
  • Design and implement a scalable, modular automation framework supporting embedded, mobile, API, and system-level testing

  • Establish clear patterns for test structure, reusability, environment control, and reporting

  • Ensure the framework supports hardware-in-the-loop and wireless test scenarios

  • Drive framework standards that can be adopted across multiple product teams

Embed Automation into CI/CD
  • Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines with clear quality gates and failure triage workflows

  • Partner with DevOps to optimize pipeline execution time, parallelization, and infrastructure utilization

  • Define metrics for pipeline health, test reliability, coverage, and defect detection effectiveness

Drive Automation Strategy & Quality Maturity
  • Define automation roadmaps aligned to product risk profiles and release velocity targets

  • Transition manual regression suites into stable, high-value automated scenarios

  • Implement test data management and environment provisioning strategies

  • Champion shift-left validation, including unit, integration, and API-level coverage

Technical Leadership & Collaboration
  • Mentor mid-level and junior automation engineers

  • Establish code review standards and best practices for test code quality

  • Collaborate with architects to influence system design for testability

  • Partner with Quality and Engineering leadership to drive measurable reduction in escaped defects and field issues

What You BringExperience & Technical Depth
  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent preferred

  • 7+ years in software quality engineering with significant automation experience

  • Proven experience building or significantly evolving automation frameworks from the ground up

  • Strong programming skills (e.g., Python, Java, or similar) with production-grade code practices

  • Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD systems (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or equivalent)

  • Familiarity with hardware-in-the-loop or embedded system validation

  • Understanding of Bluetooth and wireless system behaviors in consumer electronics environments

Automation & DevOps Mindset
  • Deep understanding of test pyramid strategy (unit, integration, system, end-to-end)

  • Experience designing reliable, maintainable automated test suites at scale

  • Strong knowledge of pipeline orchestration, containerization, and test infrastructure concepts

  • Ability to define and track quality KPIs that influence engineering behavior

Leadership & Influence
  • Ability to drive alignment across cross-functional engineering teams

  • Strong debugging and root cause analysis skills across distributed systems

  • Clear and structured communication style suited for technical and leadership audiences

  • Passion for raising the quality bar and building long-term, sustainable automation capability

Why This Role Matters
  • Direct impact on product release confidence and speed across global consumer product lines
