Work Location: Hybrid in the West Reading or Malvern, PA locations, coming into the office at least 3 days per week with Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday being the set in-office days. All subject to change.

What you’ll do:

Reporting to the Internal Audit Manager or Director, the staff/senior auditor will be responsible for performing assigned audit sections to review adequacy of internal controls, efficiency and effectiveness of operations, compliance with policies and regulations, risk management and governance processes. Staff/senior auditor will also be responsible for leaning low to moderate complexity engagements with limited day-to-day oversight.

Key Responsibilities

  • Staff/senior auditors are guided by and demonstrate Customers Bank’s values every day to accomplish the strategy
  • Assist Internal Audit Manager/ Director in execution of internal audits:

    Perform audit fieldwork as assigned, including the testing of the design and effectiveness of internal controls

    Document audit results and audit issues in accordance with Corporate Audit Policies and Procedures and coordinate with the Senior Auditor/Lead Auditor/Audit Manager/Audit Director to determine the appropriate recommendations for management

    Complete audit assignments within established due dates and budgets

    Provide external audit support as needed

    Perform SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley) 404 testing as needed

  • Keep current on relevant regulations pertaining to audits and the financial services industry
  • Implement best practices and procedures to improve efficiency
  • Provide consistent quality customer service to all constituents of internal audit
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with management and the Audit Team
  • Other duties as assigned

What do you need?

Must haves:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance or business preferred
  • Minimum of 2-5 years of audit experience
  • Experience as a Senior with a national public accounting firm is required
  • Banking / financial services industry preferred
  • Ability to accept responsibility and account for his/her actions
  • Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly
  • Ability to communicate orally and in writing clearly and concisely
  • Ability to actively and skillfully conceptualize, apply, analyze and/or evaluate information generated by observation, experience, reflection, reasoning, or communication
  • Ability to formulate a sound decision using the available information
  • Ability to effectively build relationships with constituents and co-team members
  • Ability to manage own time, priorities, and resources to achieve goals and utilize the available time to organize and complete work within given deadlines
  • Ability to travel when needed

Nice to haves:

  • CPA/CIA certification or equivalent
  • Master’s Degree

Technology Skills:

  • Ability to work with the Microsoft Suite and learn/work with other Customers Bank’s applications
