Maxar Space is currently seeking a Sr. ATE Engineer to join our team in Palo Alto, CA. You will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining automated test equipment (ATE) used by our company to test our products in production.
Responsibilities

• Design of custom electronics for simulation and measurement
• Creating and maintaining automated tests using test scripts
• Work with design engineers to establish test requirements
• Creation and release of test equipment and software documentation.
• Perform troubleshooting of test equipment in production
• Perform troubleshooting of flight hardware (along with design team)

Minimum Requirements

• Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
• BS degree in computer engineering, electrical engineering, or related discipline
• 8 Years of experience
• Test and automation
• Design for High Power
• Custom PCB/PCA design
• Experience with a wide range of electrical test equipment such as oscilloscopes, electronic loads, power supplies, signal generators, switching etc.
• Experience Automating testing through scripting

Preferred Qualifications

• Python and C Experience
• Experience leveraging Object Oriented Programming
• Experience with Testing for Space applications
• Experience design for testing at Vacuum
• 3D modeling/3D printing experience a plus

The successful candidate's starting pay will fall within the salary range provided below and is determined based on job-related factors, including, but not limited to, the experience, qualifications, knowledge, skills, geographic work location, and market conditions. Candidates with the minimum necessary experience, qualifications, knowledge, and skillsets for the position should not expect to receive the upper end of the pay range.
• The base pay for this position within California is: $120,000.00 - $200,000.00 annually.
For all other states, we use geographic cost of labor as an input to develop market-driven ranges for our roles, and as such, each location where we hire may have a different range.

Additionally, this position is incentive eligible with a target based on contribution, company performance, and/or individual results achieved; the specific incentive plan and target amount will be determined based on the role and breadth of contributions.
