The Go-To-Market (GTM) team within Merchant Strategy & Operations (Mx S&O) owns the operating engine that brings the right merchants onto DoorDash and sets them up for long-term success on the platform. Our Onboarding & Activation function sits at the heart of this — ensuring every new restaurant launches correctly and stays healthy from day one. From accurate menu descriptions and compelling photo coverage to correct trading hours and reliable POS integration, the quality of onboarding directly shapes both the merchant and consumer experience across ANZ.
About the RoleWe're looking for a Senior Associate to help scale and optimise quality across the Onboarding & Activation function, with a primary focus on menu operations. This role sits within the GTM team and works closely with Operations, Sales, Product, Integrations, and menu operations teams to drive quality at scale. You'll be accountable for defining what "great" looks like during onboarding and activation — and improving and optimising the frameworks, systems, and playbooks to get there consistently.
You're excited about this opportunity because you will…- Help shape and execute the approach to menu accuracy across new and activating merchant cohorts: Descriptions, item completeness, photo coverage, pricing accuracy, category structure, and platform compliance. Raise the quality bar on menu data to improve the merchant and consumer experience.
- Drive activation quality across Onboarding & Activation: Work across the full activation suite to raise the baseline quality of every new merchant launch. Define what "great" looks like at activation and close the gap between signed and truly live.
- Manage and monitor tools and technology across the Onboarding & Activation workstream: Oversee the tools embedded in the merchant activation process — ensuring they're performing effectively, and continuously improving how this technology supports merchant quality at scale.
- Improve and optimise the Early Merchant Success approach: Track early merchant health signals, identify at-risk operators, and refine the interventions that drive platform engagement, uptime, and long-term retention.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives: Work with Sales to educate merchants before close, with Product & Integrations on tooling that unlocks better menu data quality, and with central operations teams on shared activation standards across ANZ.
- Turn data into action: Own the analytics behind menu and activation quality — track metrics, diagnose root causes, and build the business case for initiatives. Use SQL and internal data tools to measure what's working and where to invest next.
- You have 3+ years of experience across operations, strategy, analytics, or product in a fast-paced or marketplace environment
- You have a strong eye for quality and detail: you care about getting the small things right because you understand how they compound at scale
- You're commercially minded: you understand the connection between menu quality, consumer conversion, and long-term merchant retention
- You're an AI native: you actively use AI tools to scale your output, automate repetitive work, and build smarter processes as a genuine operating lever, not just a novelty
- You're a builder: you don't just identify problems, you design the systems and playbooks to fix them durably
- You're analytically strong: comfortable with SQL, able to pull your own data and turn it into clear, well-supported recommendations
- You're a strong cross-functional operator: you influence without authority and drive alignment across Sales, Product, and Operations
- You're a clear communicator: in writing and in meetings, you make complex operational problems easy to understand and act on.
